We enjoyed our stay at Alta Vista but felt it was unbelievably over-priced. We had been travelling around Argentina for 6 weeks staying in B&Bs which by and large were excellent value as well as being very comfortable with genuine warm and friendly welcomes hosted by people who went out of their way to help you. At the end of...

We were a group of 6 and we had an absolutely amazing stay. Alta Vista is an amazing place. The building is charming with attractive interior and exterior sitting areas including a “hidden garden.” The rooms were attractive and comfortable. The atmosphere was low key and relaxed and that is part of what made the stay so special. Tamara is...

You have no idea what you are about to experience as you pull up to the unassuming building. Not even when you are warmly greeted and ushered into to cozy living room that seems like any other ordinary home. Your awareness of how special Alta Vista is unfolds slowly like opening a package with something extraordinary within. It isn't the...

Loved loved loved this little hotel. It has 7 or 8 rooms, sweetly decorated with lovely fabrics and thoughtful touches to make your stay super-comfortable. They all have their own personality / decor. We stayed in one suite with an attached sitting room, which was lovely. The absolute best thing about this hotel is the managers. Nothing short of superb....

Our stay at the Hosteria Alta Vista was a wonderful addition to our Patagonian experience. We would recommend it to those seeking a friendly and comfortable place to stay with excellent meals. This remodeled home combines the older character of the Argentina estancia with the modern amenities that travelers expect and enjoy. Our room was a comfortable size with its...

We had our return visit planned as we drove away. Frederico and Tamara have created such a relaxing home for guests that we had no desire to leave. Rooms charming, immaculate and extremely comfortable. Food delicious, not fussy and served in a light filled room with a view of the Andes by day and the moon by night. Our stay...

We arrived without expectations and left with the most wonderful stay From the moment we arrived very thing was perfect. Relaxing drink followed by a two hour hike to the top of the bluff to see the glaciers. Nicco was the perfect guide. Then cocktail hour with the other guests followed by an unbelievable barbecue. This is a wonderful place to stay. Tamara and Federico are the perfect hosts. The inn is immaculately kept, the common spaces are light and airy, the room was very comfortable, and the ambiance is warm and intimate. The food was excellent and we were especially lucky to have arrived the evening that they served asado. We went riding with...

Staying with Tamara and Frederico was like staying with friends...they were both so welcoming and helpful. The horseback riding here was like I had always dreamed of riding....no nose to tail trails here....just open space to ride with a very knowledgeable and friendly guide. The meals were served in the pretty, light filled dining area and were delicious. Rooms were...

Our trip included Santiago, Chile and Buenos Aires, Agentina as well as Torres del Paine and El Calafate. Each location had something very different and special to offer, but our time at Hosteria Alta Vista was truly memorable. On our day of arrival, we were warmly greeted by Federico, Tamara, and their staff. We had a wonderful lunch and then...
