I wasn't sure where to start with this review as its a story of two halves... Initially I think my husband and I were probably a little disappointed when we first arrived at Las Cabanitas for a 5 night stay in El Calafate. We are both used to camping and staying in hostels and things but I think we expected...

I made a reservation by email and it was confirmed. When we arrived all rooms were full and I was told that the reservation was too long ago and it is necessary to reconfirm the booking one week before arrival. Nobody had told me. I showed him the email but he didn't care. Very annoying, even more because we are...

We spent one night here in one of the little houses in the back and had a great night! The houses are small but equipped with everything you need, the bed was one the second floor and was very very comfortable. We rarely slept so well and even Overslept and almost missed our bus! The family running the place is...

My husband and I stayed at Las Cabanitas on the shoulder nights of our estancia stay and it was a fantastic place to come back to! The family that runs the hotel (Sasha the puppy included!) are so amazingly friendly, warm and welcoming. It definitely feels like your staying at home. The little cabins were cozy and delightful. The double...

That place is just incredible. The owners are an Argentinean couple. They did host us very warmhearted and friendly. The cabins are furnished pretty sweet and comfy. The breakfast is typical for hostels, toasted bred, sweet bred, jam and butter, joghurt, apples, coffee and tea. Price for a night in a cabin including breakfast is a very good deal. Their...

We stayed in the garden room since the cabins were being worked on. Ownership has been transferred back to the original family and they were beyond generous and attentive to all of our needs and are working very hard to restore this guest house to its best version of itself. The cabins are a 10 minute walk from the bus...

Ideal location in El Calafate, just 5 minutes walk from the bus station and close to the town centre, but quiet at night. Lots of work is being done to renovate Las Cabinitas, and it looks beautiful so far with handmade woodwork and colourful/tasteful fabrics and colours. It is a family run business and the owners could not be more...

We stayed in one of the cabins and also in one of the rooms in the main lodge. The cabins are adorable and you get to sleep in the loft area of the a-frame. Good sleep. Downstairs in fine, but a little dark and the bathroom was "rustic". All you really need is a good bed, which this place has...

Another traveller recommended this place for me. My friend and I had a great time. I won't call it a hostel but a guesthouse. Eduardo and his family will look after you very well. The place is very clean and tidy. Eduardo doesn't speak much english but his son does. You can book excursions through them but only in cash...
