By far and away the most gorgeous piece of property in Bariloche. This is a true bed & breakfast style arrangement - we were very well taken care of by host Sandro. We felt like a part of the family during our stay. This is not a "luxury" accommodation like the Llao Llao, but the proximity to the water, views...

Perfect setting -- on the lake with gorgeous mountain views. Quiet since it is away from the city but still striking distance of Patagonia brewery, circuito chico, and even the famous inn at Llao Llao. Save your money and stay here. Josephina, the owner's daughter is the perfect host.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Tunquelen. It is a family run hotel and they pride themselves for providing personalised service. It offers some excellent views. I was particularly impressed with Josefina. She tried her very best to address our smallest need / request. Whatever little I had, the food was good. Josefina also catered well to the vegetarians in...

My 3 night stay at Tunquelen was fantastic. The hotel was family owned and run and as a result has a great sense of home and peace. It is in a beautiful setting overlooking the lake. It is walkable to the Llao Llao. The rooms are clean and the beds are extremely comfortable. I stayed in a room with a...

Spent two nights here as a base for activities around the lakes. Very charming hotel, with very lush gardens both as you drive up to the entrance and also when looking out from the deck to the lake. The views are beautiful and the hotel itself, while maintaining many of the old features, is beautifully decorated inside with airy rooms...

Tunquelen is an old hotel. It has a superb view over the lake. Restaurant is OK. The problem is that the rooms are small and old. Windows are very small. During winter holidays many families with kids, so it was pretty noisy. But again... the place and the views over the lake are outstanding

I feel in love with this place. The 1930s fixtures and fittings and the stunning views and grounds make it a great place to stay. Excellent food. Helpful staff. The pool is lovely although they need to fix the showers in the changing rooms. There is hot water you just have to let it run for a while. Very comfortable...
