The guys in this hostel are so helpful and lovely. Our room was spacious, the bed was so comfortable this has been our favourite hostel so far we were gutted they were full for the rest of our bariloche stay. But they even arrange alternative accommodation for us...wow talk about going that extra mile! Would 100% recommend to anyone if... More

Good location close to the main streets and bus stops. Nice garden. Super friendly and dedicated owner. Nice atmosphere. Dorm of 4 is ok. Only 1 electric socket for the whole room which is not convenient. Well equipped kitchen with homemade jam and bread in the morning with no limit of time which is great. Dorm of 6 is just... More

Great place to stay. Close to the main town. Rooms were comfy and well insulated from noise. Breakfast was very good. Homemade bread with dulce de leche and cereal. Most of all the owner and staff were so nice and welcoming, making the overall feeling of the hostel extremely friendly. Great place to stay as long as wanted.

Hostel Achalay is a truly delightful hostel and the perfect place to base yourself for exploring Bariloche and surrounds (quite possibly one of the most beautiful places in the world). Not only is the location superb but the staff are wonderful at giving advice and helping you get where you need to go. Actually, the staff are just wonderful all-round!... More

I stayed in Bariloche for 6 days, (5 nights in Hostel Achalay). From the first moment on arrival the staff were very friendly and accommodating. I was travelling at that time with 3 other persons and we checked into a 4 bed dorm for the duration. Each room was named after famous musicians. Our room was named after Jimi Hendrix... More

We visited Bariloche in March 2015, and used Hostal Achalay as a base before renting a car and exploring the lakes. The Hostal was great, staff very helpful, our room (double with private bathroom) was spacious, quiet, and comfortable! Couldn't ask for anything more. Position is pretty good, just two blocks up from the main streets, and kitchen/lounge is adequate.... More

Loved the vibe of this place - the staff are part of hostel's community (eating and hanging out with us) which made it such a great place to stay. It's close to the main street and supermarkets, as well as an excellent watering hole, Manush. The rooms are clean and the kitchen is well stocked. Don't miss out on the... More

I have stayed in this hostel for 6 nights in December. The hostel itself is ok. The twin room I was in was pretty small, with a bunk bed, and enough space for one person to move around the bed. The breakfast I would call it basic, homemade bread and two or three types of homemade jams. Also, during my... More
