We really enjoyed our stay in Achalay. Definately one of our favourites in 4 months of travel. Cozy place with a friendly owner and nice and helpful staff. Homemade bread for breakfast, good beds and an overall very good vibe. It's actually quite hard not to make a few new friends here. The beef stew dinner was pretty memorable too.

good value and has Comfy beds, clean bathrooms with good water pressure, and amazing homemade cherry jam with breakfast. Most importantly, it had lovely staff who went out of their way to help - booking my bus ticket for me, reserving a bike to do the circuito Chico (a must do!), and generally giving the place a truly welcoming, homely...

This is a hostel for hostellers. It's the kind of place where young free-spirited world-travelling folk go as they find themselves. There's Lennon quotes on the wall and a communal guitar in the shared space. Each bedroom has a theme, after a musician. We stayed in the Jim Morrison room, with the man himself watching down on us as we...

We had 'The Doors' bedroom with ensuite - very groovy. But with only 1/2 a day in Bariloche because of a flight delay, we spent most of that time at Cerro Campanario - which afforded the most glorious views of snow-capped mountains and lakes in all directions. The staff at Hostel Achalay were so friendly - we really enjoyed our...

My partner and I had an issue with another hostel that apparently didn't exist on Bariloche we were stranded off the bus at 9:30 pm no where to go. We had found Hostel Achalay thankfully they had space and took us in with minutes. Great hospitality would come back and stay again, it was meant to be.

We really enjoyed staying there. Very friendly and helpfull staff, a clean and well equiped kitchen all along with many nice people and events organized by the hostal. The rooms were small but clean and individual. The living room area is a very cosy place where you can just chill and chat with other people staying or working there.

The best thing about this hostel is the staff who are super friendly and helpful. It really feels like staying with a family. Thanks so much to Pablo, Davide and Nathan. Dorm room (sleeps 6) was comfortable if a little tight if there were more than 2 people trying to get at their bags. Big lockers held rucksacks and all...

We stayed there for several days and changed rooms. They were all really comfortable and cozy. Most have an outlet and personal light for each bed, super convenient! The bathrooms are private, not one big bathroom with a row of showers and sinks and the water is always nice an hot. The staff is extra friendly and helpful with anything...
