No other place has ever treated us the way Melanie did. She took care of us, like no other, we had just finished running a 3 day Ultramarathon through the Andes, when we got to her beautiful home we looked anything but cleaned, she made us tea, and coffee. One of us had bad blisters, she helped us take care...

This is the worst place I’ve ever stayed and I’ll tell you why. If you don’t want to read through the details, suffice it to say the woman who owns this place is unprofessional, manipulative and will do anything to get what she wants from you. If there was a better business bureau here, I would be filing a complaint....

We had a really good time at the refugio and we can highly recommend it. Our room was very nice with a view to the garden. Melanie is nice and helpful. We were travelling with our bicycles and stayed there for one night, after fleeing from another hotel in San Martin de los Andes (the Marina Sun). Ingo and Melanie were very welcoming and helpful, and gave a lot of useful advice for our further trip into Chile (they are experienced cyclists as well). The small room on the first floor...

We stayed at Ingo and Melanie's place 2 nights and would have stayed more. The house is simply and nicely decorated, very very clean and CALM ! Our room had a great view on the trees, it felt like you were among the trees actually. They had put a crib for our girl which was really nice. Breakfast is very...

It is not mentioned on their website that this is a family house renting out rooms. There is no place outside the rented room, what makes it a bit incomfortable. Those who like maybe can stay within the flat of the owners. Our room had the ambiance of ground floor or lower with a view on the stairway. Breakfast was...

My brother and I stayed for five nights in Refugio Melingo during our first trip to Patagonia.
