Location, location, location! This hotel is in an isolated area of the bleak peninsula, surrounding a lighthouse that is still in operation (electricity at the hotel is limited to when the lighthouse is in operation). Rooms are basic, but comfortable, warm and cosy. The breakfast and restaurant menus are quite basic and repetitive. Staff are friendly and helpful, particularly El... More

Hotel is in an excellent location for spending several days exploring the peninsula and its wildlife offerings - note it takes several hours to drive to the north end of the peninsula. The room are simple, small, & clean - but could use updating. Several comfortable public lounge areas. The food in the restaurant is rather expensive for the quality.... More

Punta Delgada is an incredible place - in the middle of Peninsula Valdes, you can get there only via car on a gravel road - going through a real "safari" with guanacos, nandù, sheeps, etc etc. And once you get there - you're out of the world. You stay in the old quarters of the lighthouse. Surrounded by the incredible... More

We stayed here three nights, probably two more nights than most people. We are very happy we did. This hotel isn't for everyone. Electricity is only on during certain times of day, it's a long and bumpy road to get there, but the rewards are outstanding. All activities are included. Food is not. We got to go on morning hikes... More

We had a lovely time here. Staff made us feel like we were part of the family. We kept very antisocial hours (we were on the peninsular to see orcha and they mostly appear at high tide which in our case was dawn and dusk) but they were happy to do packed breakfast and save dinners for us. I inadvertently... More

Although the rooms are rather spartan, it is the unique, fenced off location that gives this Hotel an exclusive, almost luxurious feel. The restaurant, bar and other public areas are excellent and appropriately designed in a rural cottage style. Food and service was excellent too. The surroundings (Peninsula Valdes) need no further explanation. You can open the outside gate and... More

We arrived late at night. We entered the big gate and had a long road to ride to the hotel and when we arrived Marriana, the beautiful young guide was already waiting for us. She helped us to our beautiful room with great view and guided us to the restaurant where we had a delicious diner. Take the shrimp in brandy... More

We had 3 nights here and loved the experience of staying so close to the Elephant seals. The Estancia offers a number of included short excursions around - guided walking, horse trekking, and visits to the sea lion colony. The food is also very good and all of the staff are exceptionally hospitable (English is widely spoken). The accomodation is... More

Touring Península Valdés takes more than a day, so it would be a shame to have to drive back to Puerto Pirámides, much less Puerto Madryn. While more expensive than our usual lodging, it was well worth it for pleasant lodging in a historic facility. It has a wonderful remote feel, and good food, too. The guided walk to the... More

Wonderful and remote, you can really get in touch with Patagonian solitude, wide views, and the elephant seal colony. Horse riding on the steppe amongst rheas, great food. Good location too for exploring the peninsula, seeing Penguins in a private reserve and the orcas in season.
