After a long day of travel we pulled off and found an RV park in Needles, but the razor wire we passed at the first RV park I’d chosen made me rethink. I searched and found the Moon River RV Resort. It’s about 11 miles off I-40, but the plus is that the cost of gas also sharply declines – a win-win. Pulling up I was surprised and pleased with the very high trees, the near perfect lots, the pull thus were wide so it was a no brainer, we stayed.
We arrived late Saturday and the office is closed on Sunday, this is the only problem we encountered – how to pay. We knocked on the ‘host’ door but they were not in. We settled in for the night and it was blissfully quiet and the trees were beautiful to look at. However due to the heat, no way was I opening a window!
After looking at the prices online I determined we’d taken a large pull-thru and put the fee in an envelope we had and slid it between the door because there is no drop box or pay envelops. My only suggestion to the owners would be the following because you have a nice place and you deserve to be paid; • Provide a drop box for payments • Envelops • Rate sheet

This place has zero pizzaz. The sites don't even have picnic tables or fire pits. The highway traffic was very loud all night. There are no activities. They do have a pool, but there was a water main blow out when we were there so it was locked. The "free" internet was horrible. It appears to be more of a mobile home park for permanent residents than an RV Resort. The only reason I gave it a 3 out of 5 is because the people there were very friendly and helpful.

The Good Sam rating needs to be updated. Most of the staff were friendly but I got the impression that our group was not really very welcome as they prefer to have snowbirds. In fact they want us to send them full payment in July if we want to stay in November next year. They did reserve the rec hall for us. The rec hall has full kitchen facilities which our group needed. Our pull thru site did not have a table and I felt that the sites were very close together.

They say they have a heated pool but they don’t. They say they have clean bathrooms and laundry room but only have a cleaner twice a week and they are disgusting. They don’t have enough gravel in the sites or roads so when it rains it is a mud bog. However, if you like the smell of sewage, you are going to love it because it smells like sewage 24/7!

Stay at this “resort” for 2 months. Kept my entire deposit for hauling a couple bags of trash to dumpster. Electricity seems to be very high on the bill. Tried to keep my hoses and connections when they “cleaned up” before I had a chance to return to get my items.

Really nice park with large, level full hook-up sites. Interior roads and sites are all clean gravel. Our site (and many others) was nicely shaded... which is a rare thing in Arizona!
We really liked the fact that the park is in a quiet location, but is close to everything you want to do on the Colorado River or in Bullhead City or Laughlin. It's nice to be close to things, but have a quiet, friendly place to come home to!
Staff was very helpful and friendly.

Chose this RV Park for the Good Sam rating...ended up being inappropriate. Sites were tight and only a few had concrete pads. No Picnic tables. Not enough gravel, when it rained they would put out cones over the mud puddles. Rec room and laundry closed at 8 pm. Horrible sewer smell at the front of the park. Swim pool was not heated, no hot tub. Not much to do. WIFI poor.
