We stopped for one night here as we travelled from the north of Salta province to the south. We wished we had spent more time. Soon after arriving in the early evening, we were sipping wine and watching Don Carlos, the owner, grill sausage and steak for our dinner. After eating dinner on the patio, we were entertained by Ramona...

The stay at Carlos and la Negra's estancia was just incredible, we felt really at home and had a great day there so that we cancelled our last night in Argentina to come back for another night. The place is really relaxing and peaceful. Carlos took us for a horse ride every time with the lovely Peruvian pasos which is...

I don't think I could properly have prepared myself for what we ended up experiencing while guests at the Estancia San Agustin... The house, the host and the food were all absolutely incredible! If you're looking for a true "Argentine experience" then this will surely be it. You'll learn about the area, its history and the culture, and even get...

We enjoyed a wonderful 2 night stay at this beautiful estancia. Our hosts, Carlos and La Negra made us feel so welcome and very much at home. The asado cooked by Carlos was fantastic, and on our second night we enjoyed great home cooked food. The setting is stunning as is the estancia, which is tastefully decorated in true colonial...

The horses are beautiful and the riding opportunities were great. The food was fabulous and they thought of everything that we might need during our stay. We even shared...

My friend and I stayed here at the end of our 10 day tour around the Salta region and we had the most amazing time. The setting is beautiful, the house is lovely, the food is excellent, but most of all, Carlos and La Negra are simply the nicest hosts I've ever met. They were so welcoming and invited us...

I stayed at the estancia for 5 nights with my wife and 8 year old daughter in April 2012. I must say that the service, cleanlinessand food were outstanding. We all loved riding the horses through the tobacco plantation. The estancia also provides an excellent base to tour the Salta and Jujuy regions by using a hire car.

I spent five nights at Estancia San Agustin in April of 2012. Carlos was the gracious host described by other reviewers despite his wife having had some minor surgery the day I arrived. And the great asado chef as well! I had no car so I ate dinner at the Estancia every night. Wonderful food including wine and dessert. (The...

Had a great stay with Carlos and negra. We were the only guests and enjoyed a lovely room, freshwater pool, great views, wonderful horseback rides through tobacco fields ( we had two 1-hour rides during our 3-night stay) and amazing meals. Food was freshly baked -- croisants for breakfast, empanadas, postres to accompany all meals-- great with generous portions. staff...
