This boutique hotel is in a quiet and affluent suburb about a 30 minute walk from the main plaza. The decor is quirky and charming and beautifully done. Local crafts adorn the walls of the common areas, the mirror frame in the bathroom and the headboard of the king size bed. Cactus wood features on the doors and terracotta tiles...

Delightful boutique hotel in elevated position in pleasant residential area. This place has that rare thing - the personal touch. Excellent tastefully furnished bedrooms (ours even had a bath, something of a rarity in South America). Very nice reception room for drinks etc and good breakfast. Friendly and helpful service.

My dad and I stayed here for two days to discover Salta and take the car up North to Purmamarca (which was stunning!, take the 'alternative rout!'). We arrived at the hotel and were immediately amazed by the decorations and their fine taste of combining arts, culture and design. The hotel is quite small and lies a bit out of...

Am told by a reliable local source that it's among the very best boutique hotels in Salta, and while I don't have his local knowledge, I found it a really lovely place. Additionally, it was extremely good value, esp. given the overall quality.

Small, quirky and interesting e.g. large knitted cacti on the entrance to the dining room. The hotel is beautifully designed and everything is unique and specific to the room in question. Breakfast is good (Great coffee, proper tea, artisan granola, goof pastries) but eggs are at an additional cost which seems a little mean. There are a handful of local...

Loved our stay at Kkala hotel! The hotel itself is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and well designed and the staff are hugely helpful. We chose a jacuzzi room overlooking the pool and couldn't have been happier. It is now my aim to design a bedroom after that room! The internal decor is lovely. Breakfast was really tasty and in...

I'd would be happy just staying at the hotel without visiting any sites. It is the most charming place ever. Every detail is so classy - from the furniture and fixtures to the hand knit napkin holders. A pool, a yard, lots of books, good food, extremely helpful and gracious service, nice residential neighborhood. An ATM two blocks in one...

We came on honey moon to Argentina and stayed here for 4 nights. Its a quirky, beautiful boutique hotel - and the best feature are the rooms. We were in the main suite (Kkala) and it was fab. This six room hotel, with a rambling indoor/outdoor design is located on a hillside above Salta within walking distance of restaurants. The building is constructed of stone with much glass and had numerous levels indoors and out. It has a swimming pool and a lounge/library. A buffet breakfast is served in a room overlooking the city. Start the day with a cozy breakfast in the dining room filled with stunning aromas and overlooking Salta and its mountains. LOCATION Kkala Boutique hotel is located in an exclusive residential area of Salta. Here we can find incredible quietness and comfort without losing the convenience of being no more than fifteen blocks away from the historic center and all the traditional tourist routes. Salta means "beautiful". It's the best description of the city and the province that shares the name. Salta is located in the north west of Argentina, it borders three countries: Chile, Bolivia and Paraguay. Due to its location, forming a ring between the Andes Mountains to the west and the Argentine-Paraguayan Chaco to the east, it has a huge variety of climates and geography. For this reason, landscapes and tourist circuits are incomparable: from the vast and desert like puna to the splendor of the tropical jungle. Besides landscapes, Salta also has the historical and cultural heritage that invites for a deeper understanding. Travellers will have the opportunity to get in touch with ancient customs that remain alive in the community. ... more   less
