La Posada de Luz is in Tilcara, in the heart of the Quebrada de Humahuaca, which was declared Natural and Cultural Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2003. It was categorized with three stars by the Tourism Department of the Province of Jujuy, and it has 6 double rooms, triple rooms and a quadruple one. Its owner, Luz Manfredi, knew the area in 1985, while on a trip to Cuzco, and since then she was in love with the landscape and the culture of the people. The project to build an inn in the “quebradeña way”, i.e. with stone foundations, adobe walls and mud cake and cane roofs grew through the years, and it took shape in January 2004 with the opening of the Posada de Luz with its 6 rooms whose main charm are the terraces from where you get a panoramic view of the hills around Tilcara. Since then we have received in the Posada people from all corners of Argentina and the world, many of whom are now great friends of ours.

Really enjoyed our stay (for just one night). We would definitely go back & would stay longer next time!! Terrific view over the valley from the bedroom window. And very convenient for a stroll into town.

Extremely welcoming and comfortable. The little compound of cabanas feels like home as soon as you arrive. It is obvious the delightful person working reception (sorry, I forgot his name) enjoys sharing this gorgeous area with others and he and the other staff do all...More
