DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT stay here! We had a late flight come in and arrived in Phoenix past midnight so booking online was not an option. Drove to 2 other hotels before this with no luck on vacancy. Finally found this hotel at about 1 in the morning. They checked us in we get to our room, put the key in and kept pushing the door to open. Took about 5 times for the green light to work, AND THEN WE OPENED THE DOOR TO ANOTHER LADY WAS INSIDE THE ROOM SCREAMING AT US TO LEAVE! THEY HAD GIVEN US A ROOM THAT ANOTHER LADY ALREADY HAD! LET ME REMIND YOU, IT WAS 1 IN THE MORNING! POOR LADY ABOUT HAD A HEART ATTACK AND MY KIDS WERE SCREAMING FROM HER SCREAMING AND THEN THE CRYING CAME BECAUSE IT SCARED EVERYONE TO DEATH. We went back downstairs, told the employees and they gave us another room. I wanted so bad just to say screw this place and leave but my family was just exhausted. Morning came and me and my husband agreed we needed to talk to a manager because last night was not ok. What if the lady had a gun? What if it were the other way around and my family were in that room and I thought someone was breaking in at 1 in the morning. La Quinta is lucky nothing happened. When asked to speak to the manager, all we got was a sorry, and that THIS ISN'T THE FIRST TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED. Ya, they really told us that! I couldn't believe this was happening and how they handled themselves. We demanded a refund and all they said they would do is give us $20 off. Such a joke and I would never recommend staying here to ANYONE! Not only that, but the rooms smelled like pee and were disgustingly dirty. To top it off, one worker was so rude at breakfast and once 10:00 came everything got put away even if people were up at the counters getting their food! I felt so bad for an older couple there that got there at 10 and couldn't even grab anything because the lady was so mean. They even asked if she'd wait and she told them the sign says breakfast is over at 10. Safety comes above all with my family though, and if you want to feel safe, again, DO NOT STAY HERE!…
I recently stayed and had my dog with me. Let's face it, sometimes a pet friendly place smells and looks like less than clean or inviting. Not the case here. Clean, comfortable and not below standards at all.
The hotel is in a very good locaiion near to restaurants and grocery stores. It is pet friendly and we have never been bothered by the presence of animals in the hotel. The staff are always friendly and there is a selection for breakfast.
Always a good experience at La Quinta. Whenever our family is traveling we always look for the nearest La Quinta. It never disappoints! The rooms are large enough and the pools are always clean. Thanks for taking care of us!
The breakfast was terrible. The staff was rude and would not allow chairs to be used in the courtyard for my bad back. We lost water for over an hour. The staff knew it was going to happen and never warned the guests.
