I enjoyed my stay at this property. I was there for 4 nights for a conference next door at the Mesa Convention Center. I slept well. The beds were soft, yet supportive and the pillows, typically the bane of my hotel experience were plentiful and actually had some support to them. What I like to call "light leakage", which is light from the windows, alarm clock, hallway, or bathroom that often keeps me awake at night was kept to a minimum. I could still see if I got up in the middle of night, but not enough to keep my from falling back to sleep quickly. Many other reviewers have voiced their complaints about the lack of coffee service available in the hotel. I would like to point out that a coffee maker is provided in the room along with more than enough regular or decaf one-time use packets to get your caffeine fix in the morning, so you can brew it yourself. There is a mini-fridge in the rooms. However, the emphasis is on the word "mini" (they don't hold very much), & they will run for 2 hours on a "quick-chill" cycle before shutting off. Items are still kept cold however. There are lots of plug-ins (and in convenient areas) in the rooms to plug and charge all of the electronic devices that we carry with these days and the TV in the room was simply enormous!

This property doesn’t warrant the Marriott name. Two days in a row on weekend didn’t have regular coffee available. I visited counter between 8 & 9 am so it’s not like it was a bizarre time. Worker even commented “gosh yesterday everyone wanted coffee.” Hmmm if property is full maybe double up. On a different occasion the person couldn’t make a latte bc not trained on it. I was there for a swim meet and an elite Marriott member. I booked well in advance bc of training required for the meet. They refused to allow me to eat breakfast with the other swimmers staying there. So let me reiterate that. I only stay at Marriotts. I booked early to ensure availability. I train for six months and win my event but am apparently not allowed to sit at the breakfast tables for the swimmers. That’s not Marriott customer service. To top it off I tried to move to a JW for the last night. They should have said yes we will cancel one night at delta and move you. They said “no” it’s owned by someone else. I’ll retroactively increase your room fee if you try to cancel $100 Marriott room and buy a $400 room. So they essentially were going to charge me $270 penalty to move to a J.W. Unreal. Bathroom was super dingy.

Overall, a nice visit. Two minor issues with the room, however. 1) The bed closer to the window had a trough on the side away from the window -- apparently from heavy use. It was very uncomfortable, so I switched to the other bed, which was comfortable. 2) The water faucet in the bathroom dripped constantly. I could not hear it, so it didn't drive me crazy, but it was a little annoying to see -- especially in the desert. I did not alert the staff to either of these issues during my visit, and the staff I did interact with were excellent in every instance.

I was out in Mesa last week and had one of the best stays ever. The staff(too many too name) were just incredible! They did everything they could to make my time there incredible. The bar staff and check in staff were great. The sales team did the set up of a corporate account flawlessly! If I could give ten stars I would. If the Marriott corporation wants a flagship property then look no further! Cheers Delta hotel Mesa Thank you Mike cashion

I only stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights during a business trip to Mesa. The people at the reception were super nice and accommodating. The room was ok but it had some signs of aging. Very clean though. The gym was small but had most of the needed equipment for a good work out. It can become crowded when the hotel hosts a meeting though. The main problem is the location. There are a couple of museums in a somewhat walking distance, but not many restaurants. If it's raining your choices are limited to the hotel's bar and a sports bar and grill opposite to it. And the hotel bar can become very crowded quickly (very few tables to sit and few chairs at the bar itself), resulting in very slow service. So, the hotel itself is not bad but the whole experience was not that great.
