We booked a kayak tour here and turns out it is more like a glorified kayak rental. The river in its first part is very beautifull big rock formations by the river, birds and fireflies. I did the 4 hour Granite Reef paddle. I've done this paddle with them many times, just haven't yet reviewed them here. But on monday had such an epic trip I had to write! The Granite Reef trip is about 4 hours, depending on your own exuberance. I do this trip to relax and unwind, so am not pushing at... More

Such a special trip for my sister's 40th and it was truly the staff that are the heart and soul of this super special place. They are the Ritz Carlton of customer service only desert country style. Every single person takes a genuine interest in your stay right down to the guy who picks you up at the end of... More

We did not come here for an overnight stay, but rather to use their kayaking services. We did the two hour kayak trip and were extremely impressed! Our group arrived late and the staff seamlessly had us join a group that was coming next without any complaints. The girl in the office was so polite and the man who gave... More

A friend and I decided to try the two hour Kayaking trip one early Sunday morning. We had a remarkable time out there on the lake. Beautiful scenery, majestic creatures, awesome outdoor experience! Be sure to review what is best to bring and wear while out on the lake. Enjoy a nice calm ride down the lake. While enjoying the... More

Awesome staff. Great interaction and time on the Salt River. 2 1/2 hours on the kayak and we traveled about 4 miles. Easy set in at the Guest Ranch and they transported us back from the let out point. Staff was very friendly and helped with our lunch as well.

I learned about SLR on Facebook otherwise I had no idea you existed. I was happy to plan a kayak trip on the river with my family. We chose the 2-hour trip. Online reservation site was easy to use. The reminder email was helpful. The experience exceeded my expectations. The staff was nice. The equipment was in good shape. The... More

Great day trip for locals or visitors. If you think that Arizona is hot and dry in the summer time, then get yourself, family and friends to Saguaro Lake Ranch for kayaking. They make it super easy for you – launching at their ranch and picking up your crew at the end. No lugging around heavy equipment. Super friendly staff... More

Traveling to this ranch over night was a great addition to our Arizona trip! My kids loved the shuffleboard and pool. The views were breathtaking and the photos alone were worth the visit. The owners were very friendly...great place to relax and enjoy the scenery.
