I choose this park because it was close to Family that we came to visit and also they are connected to the RV Membership that I subscribe to. This is a 55+ park no children allowed but 2 pets are OK for a nominal fee. The park is mostly Modular homes for retired Snowbirds I didn't notice a lot of RV spots as they seems to be where a Modular use to be. The turning ratio on most of the streets is very tight. We have a Class C w/towed car, however I did see a few Class A's. I did not use any of the amenities as we were only there for three nights. The staff was friendly, however we did have a Gate Guard who did not know the procedure for after hours check-in and I had to flag down another Security Guard to find out what we were suppose to do. I would recommend it for anyone who might need a place to stay in that area but it is a busy drive by freeway to any of the Phoenix sites.

Property well taken care of the staff was very knowledgeable and friendly the Rv site we had was nice and clean people staying here were very friendly. I would recommend this property to anyone who is qualified to stay here The staff was very helpful and accommodating when we had a problem and needed to extend our stay, like the fact that trash cans are supplied to each site rather than community dumpsters. Water pressure was very good and no problem with the electrical service. We will be making this a regular stop for our travels.

This park was number one Park in the area years ago.. Sadly it has really gone down hill. The front entrance was missing a letter in the signage for weeks. When it was finally replaced it doesn't line up with The rest of the letters. The second entrance has lighting out on the entrance sign, again for many months. The new scrubs planted at the main entrance, since removing all grass always need trimmed. Two years ago a truck ran into the front fence The fence was repaired several months later but the house on the other side of the fence still has siding torn off. What a poor representation of what was a beautiful park. And these are only the entrances.

We purchased a home in this resort a year prior to the pandemic. They told us they incrased rents around 1.5% per year. The first year they increased our rent 2% and last year, with all facilities closed due to the pandemic and the US Canada border closed to Canadian owners they increased the rent 4%.

During the spring after we got our shots we went to our property and the irrigation system kept breaking down. Trees were dying. Front desk staff was very polite but it took multiple calls for the system to be serviced. All facilities were closed, even the library. No events were held.

The Owners and Residents Association is not able to even get management to respond to complaints they received. Once they have your money and your contract you mean nothing to them.

The dog park was overused with many dogs not registered so that the staff does not know how many dogs there are in the compound. We do not recommend this facility to anyone. Only the golf is decent.

Lovely place to stay. We stayed a eeek so we could visit with friends who live at ViewPoint during the winter. The check in process with guard was excellent.

We only had two glitches. First, they office could not find our initial reservation when we had to call to let them know we would be delayed. Ultimately, they did find it and did allow us to change to a later date (due to repairs on our RV that were delayed due to parts delays) however, we phase paid for two weeks on the intial reservation but could only stay one week. There was no refund at all for the week we could not stay even though we had told them more than a week in advance.

The second glitch was that they do not have standard/typical sewer connections - we have traveled in our RV full time for over seven years and had never encountered the type of seeer connection that ViewPoint has so we had to find/buy one before we could complete the hookups.

The park is lovely and well cared for and the residents are really nice.

I chose this location due to close proximity to family. I am a Thousand Trails member and paid a premium to stay here. The RV sites are barely long enough for the larger rigs. And, while my parking was supervised, the RV next to mine clearly was not as their slide out extended into my parking space. They had at least 4 feet into their space to park. I thought maybe it was a new RVer but speaking to wife, they've been doing this for 3 years. So, basically rude and inconsiderate fellow RVers. The same seems to apply to residents. I was at the small dog park and a guy was blowing saw dust from his carport into the street. I got some in my eye, so stood to the side while he finished (or so I thought) and then he started blowing off his golf cart. He saw I put my hand over my face and said that the dust wasn't reaching me. He could have shown a minimum of consideration by letting me walk past before continuing and of course, blowing the stuff in the street is basic rudeness in the first place. Also, while there are dog parks, the resort is really not at all suitable for walking dogs. Dogs are not allowed on any of the paths through golf course NOR in any of the nice little park areas, There are no real sidewalks for the most part and the vast majority of people zip around in golf carts and some ATVs (apparently some don't think usual driving rules nor speed limits apply to them). And, most of the park model homes only have one parking slot so it's not unusual to also have cars in the street.

Also, there doesn't seem to be any screening of dogs. There was one aggressive dog - when I first encountered it at the dog park, I asked the owner if my dogs could come into that part of the dog park. He said his dog would rip mine apart. I thought he was joking, but apparently not. Still, he felt entitled to use the entire side of the dog park for his aggressive dog while my medium sized dogs were on the side with a half a dozen little ones.

The entitlement of residents and visitors is something I've not encountered in any other RV park or even neighborhood I've been in. And, the fact that none of the staff were bothered that the RV slide was in my space indicates there's little oversight of the RV park in general - i.e., I'd surely hope if they'd seen it, they would have said something. I could have requested a move, but it was raining for several days and I was going to be gone in several days.

This is truly an RV resort. The golf courses an 18 and a 9 were excellent. The RV sites have concrete drives and patios. We have not problem backing our 40 foot 5th wheel into our site. The resort has fruit tree's on every lot with lemons, oranges and grapefruit.

We were very disappointed in our stay. We booked five nights and paid additional above our Thousand Trails membership to stay. We were looking forward to the experience of an over 55 community and the active lifestyle. When we arrived, we waited to check in and didn't receive any information about the RV resort. I specifically asked about activities and the agent directed us to the next building. We went to the activities building and said we were interested in the many activities available. The staff person said we should have received the newsletter and we did not. When we said we were visiting short term, she gave us a yellow flyer listed annual concerts, not the daily activities.

It felt like we were intentionally excluded from knowing about these activities/class and events. I thought it was because we were not long term residents. We didn't have any information on the resort or things to do and we stumbled across Karaoke at the restaurant and enjoyed this for an hour. We didn't feel welcome or included so we decided to depart early.

When we checked in, the front desk agent told us we had to pay an additional $50 approx and when we said we were leaving early, we asked why we had to pay the extra charge. The agent said she didn't know and her manager was in a meeting, but she said she would call us with an update. We would like to know why we were charged. She never asked about why we were leaving early, and didn't bother to call us with the details on the charges. We were planning to do laundry and we loaded up our items and went to the laundry room, only to find out the machine was not working to disperse the necessary payment to operate the washer. We had to leave and bring back our un-done laundry. Overall, the experience was very disappointing. We are young 56 year olds and thought it would be a fun lifestyle and not one staff person provided any information on the activities. I hope this is not representative to the other over 55 parks, but we left feeling disappointed with a negative impression of the resort.

I am an owner at this resort as such it is a good place to stay for the winter. They do have some issues but I’m sure most resorts do. The amenities are plentiful however during peak season they are all very busy and you may not be able to use them.
This part of the review really doesn’t pertain to people who stay for the winter. It is more for people who are renting a hotel room and Viewpoint doesn’t have a hotel.
