Even though a lot of amenities were closed due to Covid, the 3 pools were great. The staff is very helpful in finding a site to fit you RV and getting backed in. Lisa in the office was very helpful with on-line check in prior to arrival. Nice pickleball courts and the seasonal people are all very friendly. The Park is very close to everything in town.
Stayed here a couple of nights while looking at houses in the surrounding areas. Not quite central to where we looked but not bad drives with all of the freeways. Resort itself is fine, very desert like. No trees except a few palms. Temp was 117 so AC struggled to keep up. 3 nice pools but the water was much to warm to really enjoy, especially after a long day of looking at houses. Very quiet as there were not many campers this time of year. Would expect a full park in the winter months. Would stay again if in the area.
Mesa Spirit is one of our favorite parks. We usually stay here when in Mesa. This trip was different due to Covid. We did not use any of the facilities or the amenities. It was too hot aside (115°). We did the online checkin and it made things easy. However, I'm a social person so I prefer dealing with people. The brief encounter with the guard was pleasant enough. Steve our greeter who showed and parked us at our RV spot was great. We moved RV spots three times due to location and tightness of spot. Steve coordinated with office each time to ensure we got a good spot. He was very pleasant and friendly. We felt he went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and content with our location.
We have been staying at Mesa Spirit since January. This is our second long term stay in this park. This is the most poorly run RV resort we have ever seen. During the COVID crisis, management followed the guidelines set forth by the governor and the CDC by closing all the amenities. That’s fine. However, when the governor opened the state back up the only amenity that opened (eventually) was the pool—with limited hours and no lounge chairs!! Anyone who lives in AZ in the summertime knows how extremely HOT it is here. To offer limited pool hours to a 55+ community in the heat of AZ spring and summer is ridiculous! Many residents here rely on the pool and the gym (which has never reopened) to get exercise, stay healthy, and to have a form of recreation; not to mention we are paying for these amenities!! We have friends at other RV parks around Mesa. Those parks have opted to open all their amenities to their current residents but not allow new residents in until fall. Mesa Spirit has done the opposite. They are now allowing anyone into the park, charging high prices, and keeping their amenities closed! When asked why this is, they continue to use the excuse that they are “protecting” their residents. We do not need their “protection”. If we feel unsafe by using the pool or the gym, we will simply stay home!! Most neighbors we talk to feel the same way. Some who have lived here for years are looking to leave. This “resort” does not want to open their amenities back up so they do not have to pay people to help keep those amenities open. I would not recommend this RV park. If you are looking for somewhere to stay, weather temporarily or permanently, I say keep looking!…
We have stayed in this park as part of the Trails Collection contract with Thousand Trails. We are allowed to stay in the park for 2 weeks at a time. During the “stay home” orders, the park said that they will allow people to extend their stay. Well that is great except they are charging at least TWICE as much as other parks in the area. None of their amenities are open, so it is basically an exorbitant price for a parking space. As a member, one would expect them to help out their members! They are only 1/2 full and are not allowing any new arrivals. Once you leave, you are not allowed back in. This is just wrong!
