We were traveling in our A class motorhome. This is one of the largest parks we have ever stayed at, but never felt overcrowded. We loved all the pool options in particular since it was quite warm. Loved the people!
Even though numerous (10+) sites were available in our area, the park chose to put a new arrival right next to us. Management stated that they could not be bothered to look at a map when assigning sites. During our 3 month stay... Water was out several times (8 to 10) with no warning, notification, nor explanation. Electricity was out 3 times with no warning, notification, nor explanation. Not once was a vacated site examined or cleaned up before a new arrival was parked. Several vacated sites had sewer hoses, grills, wood, and storage bins left behind that were not cleaned up.
Great place to stay. The RV sites are spacious and the amenities were great. Staff are friendly and helpful. The location of the park is easily accessible from the freeway. We will continue to come back to Mesa Spirit to vacation.
We stayed for six months, from October to April. Over all the place is maybe a 2/5 stars. The residents are awesome though!! Mesa Spirit: Upon booking, they required photos of our Country Coach, photos of all four sides, to be sure it was "up to their standards" . So was a little surprised that there are many many very old and run down year round residents here. There are poop-pipe vents everywhere in the park, and let me tell you, it's nasty. The air near our place was contaminated, and after complaining they did come and cap the poop vent that was right next to our bedroom window. Also, our site never had a mailbox. We had to ask multiple times for a mailbox. Never got one, so it became a big issue for us, as the mail people would only deliver if we were there to hand our mail to. Lastly, on of our bikes was stolen, and when I reported it to the office, they said, "walk around the park, and if you see it, steal it back". What?? Yes, they did just say that. Don't be fooled by the day-time only person at the front entrance, who meticulously writes down visitors license plates and drills on why they are visiting, because as soon as the sun goes down, the place is wide open. Several residents had bicycles, electric bikes, and even plants stolen during my six month stay. Local thieves know where to go, I assure you. Residents & Visitor: The residents and visitors are AWESOME. Once you get past having to lock up your bikes, and also the poop pipes, you'll have a great time with the others who are here. Everyone is outside walking or riding bikes, and happy hour is super fun.…
This is a very large park and a little confusing to drive the first day or so but everyone is friendly and the services and amenities are top notch. Can recommend this property for anyone in the area.
Excellent place to stay ,friendly, helpful staff, very nice amenities. our favorite was the impeccable pool area, and all the friendly residents and neighbors, made us feel welcome.. we would not hesitate to recommend a stay.
Placed in a site that had a clogged sewer drain. Staff told us that they new it was clogged. Neighbors told us this started back in November. The staff were nice to deal with and overall it was a nice place. We doubt that we would stay there again.
Great 55+ resort. Can be a little daunting to figure it all out…so much going on. Clean, lots of amenities, very large community of 1600+ and can be tricky to get in and out with large motorhome or fifth wheels.
We stayed at Mesa Spirit as part of our Trails Collection upgrade on TT. The resort is lovely. We were visiting friends at another resort so we did not use the amenities other than the laundry room at the back pool one day. It was clean and I used the big washers. 1.75 wash and 1.75 dry and took my debit card. As TC members we don’t get the best spots though ours was large enough with a large patio. The down side was it was against the wall on a busy street. But we endured and enjoyed our stay. We really had no interaction with any staff past checking in. They were pleasant enough. This was our second visit.
We’re Thousandtrails members. We have kids and a lot of the residents wouldn’t wave, shake their heads & look down. Some threw their hands up at us because we were backing our truck into our spot and they had to wait on their bike. It’s good lesson for our kids on how not to treat other humans! Now they have just announced they no longer allow kids & families. We have very limited availability in AZ as it is. EVERYTHING is for over 55 years old! Multiple Encore parks available to the 55+ age group. We pay through our membership to stay at Encore parks and they have banned families from the parks! It’s so sad and makes traveling in AZ very difficult. There were a few very nice residents. But majority were very rude!
