Encore Mesa Spirit garners praise for its immaculate facilities and prime location suitable for both leisure and business in Mesa. While the hotel's cleanliness and array of amenities receive accolades, the establishment's rooms have drawn criticism for unreliable hot water, causing reluctance among some guests to rebook. Although the staff's friendliness is acknowledged, there are mixed feelings about service consistency and value, with travelers highlighting the need for better maintenance and questioning the hotel's fees in relation to its offerings.

As thousand trails members who are in our mid 30s and not 55+, we are welcome to stay a max of 2 weeks … and we did and LOVED IT! Top notch amenities - 3 pools and 6 hot tubs (1 pool and 2 tubs designated for families) were warm, clean, and big! Bathrooms were spacious, spic n span, & conveniently near the pools. While we did not utilize game rooms, library, or activities calendar, the # of options is incredible! Laundry facilities have it all and my favorite part was clothes lines to dry up it clothes! It’s the little things.. Welcoming, warm, and helpful staff. Convenient location to everything we wanted to do as well as conveniences or stores and such. RV sites each have their own mailbox so packages can be delivered directly - loved that! Main entrance is always manned by a greeter which shows they care to keep this a safe community and we appreciated this detail! Our RV site is on gravel with a cement pad for patios and parking - can’t complain though it’s nothin fancy. Would stay again if we could!

Weren't sure how long term living would be but this place made it easy. We got in on V street away from the outside wall rows and loved our neighbors.
We initiated potlucks and private dinners with neighbors. The dog park is big on this street. The laundry room was a challenge at first due to the credit card system, it would take a few minutes to log in, but the problem was operator error and I figured it out quick.
There are lots of activities and if you are bored here, it's your fault. It was really nice to eat the free oranges, grapefruit and lemons for weeks on end. Everyone shared.
People help you out if you have a rig problem. We met some great friends here and will be back. There are bike trails everywhere and you can ride along the canals.

Checked out some surrounding parks and you may find nicer but I enjoy the people and the trees around the property as opposed to gravel and cement only at some other parks. We have been here four months now and our five month rate was very reasonable !

We enjoyed our stay at Mesa Spirit. However, with so many open spaces, it would have been nice if we were NOT placed nest to Lindsay Drive, where the traffic noise really impeded a good night sleep. Outside of the 2 men who helped into our site, we did not interact with any staff (outside the Sales Reps who showed up on our 3rd day).
We did not use the pool in Unit 3 as it seemed to be under repair, however, the miniature golf, pickle ball courts, and reasonably priced laundry (with clothesline’s) was very nice.
When we come back to Mesa, however, we will not stay at Mesa Spirit due to the traffic noise.

We have stayed in this park as part of the Trails Collection contract with Thousand Trails. We are allowed to stay in the park for 2 weeks at a time. During the “stay home” orders, the park said that they will allow people to extend their stay. Well that is great except they are charging at least TWICE as much as other parks in the area. None of their amenities are open, so it is basically an exorbitant price for a parking space. As a member, one would expect them to help out their members! They are only 1/2 full and are not allowing any new arrivals. Once you leave, you are not allowed back in. This is just wrong!

Road noise from University Drive kept us awake. Don’t put guests there. Use those spaces for seasonal Park Models.

Don’t fill hot tubs when guests are using them, fill at 2am. Putting cold water into a hot tub being used isn’t cool!

We were not told it was a 50 amp only site, and at check-in were treated abruptly and sort of rudely about purchasing an adaptor for $20 or driving to Walmart for the fair price. Name-tags are a dated joke. Are they truly a security issue? To be fair, maybe we are not ready for the 55+++++ scene.

There are street lights out all over the park. The one across from my site went out in November. I reported it. In December I was told they were on it and they have some quotes from some contractors. I January they said the same thing. Two nights ago (mid February) my wife couldn't sleep and was sitting outside about 3 in the morning when a man walked up on her and started to talk. She did not see him coming as he came from the street right in front of our trailer and walked up on her out of the dark. The man did not threaten her, but he did creep her out.

The next morning I went to office and got the same song and dance from the staff at the front desk. I told them that was not good enough and I wanted to meet with a manager.

This morning I went to the office to meet with the Assistant general manager. I made a 9:00 appointment two days before. When I arrived Danielle was busy shuffling papers around on her desk. Her first comment was that she had no idea she had an appointment with anyone. She asked what I wanted I told her while she was busy stacking papers on her desk. Clearly the papers were way more important that she get them done instead of stopping for a minute and listening to me. It was clear that she couldn't care less what I wanted.

When she finally finished with her papers, she turned and and said that were on on the problem. Her attitude was very clearly that she had no scene of urgency to get this handled.

I told her that I would wait another week and if it's not done I will complain to corporate. She said to go ahead and do that as they are well aware of the situation and that's who they are waiting to get approval to get the work done.

I have a hard time believing that a park with 1500 sites has to wait for corporate to make a decision to get 15 or 20 lights replaced. It appears to me that in their opinion it is just a low priority maintenance problem and they are just not taking care of it.

Last minute reservation was very expensive. Site was large, neighbors very friendly. One small dog run quite a distance from our site. This is a huge park. So lots of people out and about, but actually a quiet
Park. Did not use any amenities, but lots to do here. 1 week stay was expensive, advise to rent well in advance. Wi-Fi was difficult to get on with frequent signal drops.

My husband and i stayed at Mesa Spirit as annual residents for 4+ years. I absolutely hated going to the office because of the lack of service and being treated like a moron and stranger after being there for so long. Every time I would go to the office to ask a question or sign up for things the only thing they would say to me is where is your badge. We can't do anything unless you have a badge. I have lived here for four years, year round ,and you don't know who I am? Are you kidding me.

Recently we had to move out to take care of my father-in-law. I have been trying to get someone from the office to call me or communicate in any way about a refund of 9 months of annual fees. I have called multiple times every month since December and have never received a return phone call. I even stated I don't care if the answer is no, I expect a call back. And nothing!

It is an ok park for the price and the maintenance staff do their best, but if you need any assistance from the office staff you will not get it.

The sites are interspersed with modulars. However, this park has a lot fewer permanently affixed Park Models than some I have stayed in, like those around Yuma. When you register, ask to be placed in the RV sections. You will still enjoy your stay.

Good morning Barbara, I'm sorry for the delay in answering you. ACBL Bridge is played at Noon on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, at at 6pm on Tuesday. The times are set by each games' director and are subject to change before the season begins but once they've registered their games in November the day and time rarely changes. Are the park models in a separate section of the park? Is this park for adults only?
Answer from MesaSpirit
Arizona1 contribution
Good morning Popknits, Regarding Park Models, they are not relegated to only one section of the resort. We do have certain areas that are either more park model-centric or have a higher concentration of RV sites. We have Park Models and RV sites throughout our great resort. Regarding our age-requirement: "The Resort is operated in accordance with the Housing for Older Persons Act of 1995 (“HOPA”) and is designed for the lifestyle of older persons. With certain exceptions as allowed by HOPA, the residents must be 55 years of age or older. In the case of couples, one must meet this requirement. No one under age 19 may reside in the Resort. Exceptions are made as a reasonable accommodation to allow for live-in caregivers in compliance with state and local fair housing laws." We look forward to your visit, Mark Beardslee Recreation Assistant Mesa Spirit RV Resort
