We have had very warm and professional attention, especially from our guide Arnold, who was always very attentive in every detail. We have done several jungle tours where he shared his wisdom and kindness, taking care of us at all times. He also introduced us to members of the local Guaraní culture and we shared a tour, matte and music with them.
The gastronomic service super flexible in terms of our needs and preferences so there were specially adapted menus, for those in our group who were vegan and lactose intolerant.
The cleanliness excellent, very fast and efficient!
As for transportation too, super friendly, helped us with the heavy bags.
The wonderful place, immersed in nature, a calm spot and full of butterflies 😍 (visited in October)
The rowing experience very nice and suitable for inexperienced people like me 😅 I was afraid to get on the Kayak but I received help and instructions to make everything go well and in the end I really enjoyed it.
Anyway, unforgettable and super recommended everything ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you!

Yacutinga is one of the most unique places we’ve stayed. Nestled in the rainforest and built with all natural materials to fit into that environment, the lodge is a pretty amazing structure and quite beautiful. The rooms are nice and wonderfully quiet (esp after Buenos Aires) and even though the temperature was quite hot (95+) when we were there, the room stayed amazing cool — so if you are worried about no air conditioning, don’t. There’s a fan above the bed and the casitas are built to be energy efficient. The guides are nice people and attentive. The pool is pretty magical, with butterflies and dragonflies and honeybees hovering around you while you swim. The highlights were a guided kayak and swim and a mate cocido demonstration. Capuchin monkeys are everywhere, which was pretty neat to see, and there are researchers there studying them who are great to chat with.
So…all good, why the four/3.5 stars? Well, the place sorely needs a person in charge. I don’t really know who is running the place and making sure things are clean, not broken and guests are comfortable. For example, the yoga mats in the studio were filthy. Our room had multiple holes in the screens and a serious spider problem. Don’t get me wrong, the folks were super friendly, it just wasn’t clear who to go to with a problem beyond the little ones. And listen, we camp. We don’t expect a rainforest casita to be bug free. We’re ok with that and expected that. But this was a bit beyond that — like bad enough that someone in my view should have talked to us about changing rooms or comping us. But I don’t think there’s anyone on site with that kind of authority. I think the owner is far away and kind of neglecting the place, which is a shame because reading the reviews it seems like at one time it was amazing.
So, yes, go here, because the buildings and the environs are worth it, but go with eyes open.

An enchanting and magical jungle location, comfortable lodging, great food and warm, attentive staff. We stayed for two nights, but regretted not having booked for longer. Without a doubt one of the highlights of our trip to Argentina!

We went for two nights as a family of 5. Everything was exactly as advertised on their website. Clean, comfortable, exotic, good meals, friendly staff. We loved the kayak tour and rainforest walks. This was a great introduction to the rainforest for our kids. Special thanks to Ignacio, who acted as our guide, and English-speaking host. He's very personable and knowledgeable.

Yacutinga lodge was just magical - we had the best time. Our guide, Reyen, was really friendly and knowledgeable. We saw lots of lovely birds, butterflies and monkeys. The kayaking down the Iguazu was really special - memories definitely made. The accommodation was lovely as was the food too !

For $350/night, we expected great meals, great service and good guides that could show us the Argentinian rainforest. The meals were very good, the lodge nice and rustic (pool was out of commission), the guides were not very knowledgable and had limited English, and there was little to see in the way of animals. Service was not very good -- no extra touches to make you feel welcome. Although meals were included, there were no snacks available in between, and they charged for everything from water to ice tea -- seemed pretty greedy considering the high price of this lodge. At about half the price, I would go, but for what they charge, stay at one of the hotels by the Falls and hire a local guide if you want to see flora and fauna. We weren't the only ones to get this impression -- there was a family, another couple and a single traveler that all agreed this was way too high priced for what you get.

It is always difficult to write a review on a lodge as people have different expectations. Having seen animals in Africa I know that South America is very different. This is one of the only areas in Argentina that has a jungle lodge as far as I am aware. This is secondary rain forest and is on the Iguazu River. The accommodation is pretty basic, rooms are scattered in the grounds, there is no air-con and power is limited to a few hours a day. The rooms are well protected by mesh but the beds are a little on the small side. There is hot water all day long. A torch is a good thing to have! The 2 night package is enough. It is quite a long ride to get to the place; you get picked up in an open top truck. The walks are interesting but do not expect to see allot of animals. It is fairly dense bush and whilst the animals are there they are not easy to see. The guides spoke good English and were very knowledgeable on the flora and fauna. The lodge has been designed well and it has a small pool which they clean daily although the local insects keep coming back for a swim! The food is basic but fine, the lodge is eco friendly and tries to buy local produce and employ local people so don't expect a hotel service. There is wine and beer available. The price is a little high but I feel that by going you are contributing to a worthy cause in saving a bit of rainforest, they even get you to plant a tree for the future. Don't expect to see huge quantities of animals but you might get lucky and see a puma!

Wow- This place was amazing. We took 15 law students and 3 professors from New York to Yacutinga for 3 days and it was the most touching and life changing experience of our lives. Every single person in our large group absolutely loved it! Please understand that it is not right in Iguzu Falls- it is in the middle of the Argentinian Forest outside of Iguazu Falls. If you are looking for a typical hotel, this is not it. It is meant to be far removed from the hustle and bustle of city life. This is a place to go if you want to be at total peace and away from stress. The stars at night are amazing. You will only hear nature sounds- not planes, trains, phones or automobiles. In response to previous bad reviews: The service was superb, the local food was amaizng, and the guides were all extremely knowledgeable! All 18 people in our group were very impressed. Please understand that you will see wildlife, but if you talk a lot and make noise while in the forest, all of the wildlife will run away. This explains why previous reviewers claim to have not seen wildlife. Remember that wild animals need to survive and part of their survival is camaflauging themselves, so as to not be eaten by large predators, such as humans. If you want to see wildlife, it is absolutely necessary to be quiet. If you are looking to get away from it all and experience something totally amazing and out of the ordinary, please go to Yacutinga! It is worth it!

By all means stay one night at the Sheraton- great view of the Falls from the room- but then head off to Yacutinga Lodge. Set in the jungle it offers a unique experience in an eco-friendly lodge. Great hospitality. Check it out at ------

I am rather bemused at the some of the negative comments. It is the Rainforest. That is what is wonderful about it. If you go with a ticklist of wildlife to see, you are going with the wrong attitude. The lodge is in the middle of a Rainforest that is living and breathing and is above all a real experience. OK - there is no TV (a tragedy for some perhaps) but the lodge is very cool as other reviewers have commented on. The cabins are not like rooms at the Ritz but perfectly adeqaute. You should not be spending a lot of time in your cabin anyway. Early to bed and early to rise. We stayed two nights and it was just the right length of time. Bring your insect repellant and use lots of it and cover up if particularly sensitive. It does get very muddy, so bring suitable footwear that you can wash afterwards and appropriate clothing. This would be my main tip.
The food was excellent. The staff even better than excellent. I learned so much at Yacutinga about trees, birds and the Rainforest in general. They have a real commitment to the Rainforest and to the local people which shines through and I left inspired and educated.

Hi Saltyforever, The trip that you are planning surely run through very diverse landscapes, from forests to deserts, from cities to glaciers. South America is a very vast sub-continent and Argentina in particular is a country with an impressive variability of climates and landscapes. We say here, that it is possible to observe from hummingbirds to Penguins. Therefore, nothing better than traveling well prepared and having considered all details, in particular those related to you and your companions health. Remember that you are coming from other climates and regions, and your body is most probably not this immunized to various ailments present in our region. Many people ask us about the presence of malaria, dengue and yellow fever in the area and we want to be very honest: there have been cases of dengue and yellow fever in the area. To deny it or ignore it would be a lie. But this does not mean that everybody is suffering or has suffered these diseases, on the contrary I can confirm that we are a very healthy and strong society enjoying good health. Therefore, I recommend you consult with your doctor and apply the vaccines you consider convenient in order to minimize any problem that could arise during the journey. If you have any other doubt please check our website or send us an email!

"I don't know what "room tip" means other than the monetary tip that I always leave for the staff. I don't think that's what's meant here. I can only say that the rooms were not only comfortable and totally acceptable, but they allow luxury accessibility to view, listen to and experience the rain forested jungle outside. Loved them!"
