We went for a friends birthday celebration after visiting Bryce and Zion. This place was the closest accommodations to the Grand Canyon West Wall. The ranch turned out to be a highlight of our trip! The cabins were rustic yet comfortable and spectacular views The staff was authentic and friendly. Reba, Cowboy Casey and Cowboy John were our host...They made you feel welcome any time of the day. We are going to miss them. If you are fortunate to run into Cowboy Dave - get ready to laugh - he is always ready with jokes. I forgot to get chefs name...but he put out some great meals every time. Take a sunset horseback ride with a champagne toast to the day, while Casey sings Mountain Serenade. - a song he wrote. It is beautiful and captures the moment perfectly
Cowgirl Debbie greeted our small group onto the ranch. Soon after we settled into the cabins we departed on our carriage ride up the mountain to watch the sunset whilst enjoying a bubbly wine. Cowboy Dave taught us about Bisen on the ranch and sang some great songs including Waltzing Matilda for us Aussies. Once the sun went down we enjoyed a lovely meal prepared by the chefs in the Wild West Dining Hall, then enjoyed some stories & music around the fire. The cabins were very comfy with 5 ladies in the Ketchum cabin & 4 men in the Smith cabin. All the comforts required for a nice overnight stay.
We wanted to stay longer as part of our trip, but they were full so only could get one night. Fantastic, quirky place to stay, helpful and friendly staff, always willing to help. Cowboy Casey wonderful, when we went in he sang a song for us, off the top of his head, absolutely fabulous, but too quick and unexpected to video. Cabin wonderful and cosy/warm. Would like to have stayed longer and will return. Food limited but good, excellent breakfast
Horseback ride was a fun experience. My two boys had never ridden a horse and had no problems. Great guide that takes you up the mountain, through an old creek bed and to a small buffalo heard. All staff on the ranch very friendly, knowledgeable. Good entertainment from singer in the restaurant
We stayed here overnight when traveling from Grand Canyon to Las Vegas. It was adorable. Cute little cabin. We booked a helicopter ride to the canyon which was cool. The people that greeted us were super nice! Food was yummy and they had a fire burning outside at night to make s’mores. No WiFi but it was nice to disconnect for the night! Highly recommend for something different.
