We had a great time in Mendoza and received great help from the staff to organize our trip to San Rafael using public transportation. Breakfast is very good. Location is good too, there is a casino and good restaurants just around the corner.

We stayed four nights. Great location and wonderful, attentive staff.  Our room was street side, but the windows are actually quite good at blocking out sound - we had no problems with the windows closed and we’re generally somewhat sensitive to street noise. The AC worked beautifully, good water pressure with the shower, and our bed was comfortable. Sure, if you look closely the room could use touch ups in a couple of spots. Nothing major. Breakfast was good - a variety of sweet pastries to choose from, fruit salad, some ham and cheese and breads, yogurt, and cereals. There are two computers for guests to use, an area to hang out in an area sheltered from the street.  Av. Aristides is walkable distance away (maybe 10 minutes at most), and there are lots of other commercial areas with restaurants that are even closer (one such area is literally one block away on Av. Sarmiento). I should reiterate - they have a really great staff. They were there to answer all of our questions, arranged transportation for us, and very helpful when we needed to address a medical issue.

Although the rooms look like they were renovated, there was some mold in the bathroom and some parts of the room looked worn out. Room has a small fridge and safe. Free wifi. Breakfast buffet was decent. Nice small pool area. Small gym on top floor but very warm and the limited equipment is quite old and there were no towels. Parking is available in garage nearby but it is an extremely dark place. Hotel is in a good central location, within walking distance to many bars and restaurants. Service at reception was ok.

We asked for an iron, which they supplied with a frayed electrical cord and no ironing board or guidance as to how/where we were to use it. We used the most obvious electrical plug, which was over a desk with a glass top, assuming that was OK. We put a towel down on the glass before we ironed. The heat of the iron cracked the glass, because it wasn't heatproof. We were told it was our fault because they don't lend irons (don't quite get that one) and also told us that we should have used a plug beside the bed and ironed the clothes on the bed. We initially looked for a plug here, but couldn't find any plug there. (I don't quite get this logic either, as if they wanted us to use this electrical outlet, they should have showed us where it was). They charged us 1500COP$ without our permission. It should be noted that in another review, people were charged for a wine glass that was broken. One other detail, we had a small amount of laundry done while there. The cost was nearly 2000COP$ (over €30). We have had laundry done in 4 other places in Argentina. The most cost has been 800COP$. The cost was totally exorbitant. I tried to deal with the manager, Senor Rosenthal. He is arrogant a D unreasonable. Totally unprofessional.
