This review is a little more difficult than others I have done in the past. We were expecting a little more from a place that calls itself a bed and breakfast. Definitely not what we are used to. The price was low (and maybe this should have been an indication...). The reception was fine and the people very nice but...

I was staying at Quinta Rufino Hostel on 13 November to 20 (one week). Everything was as described was correctly. The selection factor this time was the price of lodging and Hostel proximity to the microcenter of the city and convention center. The entire staff was very receptive, satisfactory accommodations (to sleep and go for walks or work the next...

This is a decent budget hostel in a quiet section of Mendoza halfway between the squares and the park. I recently stayed with my boyfriend for five nights, and we were happy with with the accomodations and the price. The hostel is relatively basic, but clean and mostly quiet, with an exceptionally friendly staff. $40 US per night got us...

I've stayed at Quinta Rufino by myself on a visa run, with friends, and with my boyfriend, for a total of three times and will stay there again in the future. I've stayed in one of the newer rooms that was little more than some boards with 8 beds thrown in (luckily, I was the only one in there and...

Recently spent 4 nights here and can recommend it.... although the rooms are a bit basic it is clean, has comfy beds and decent bathrooms. The staff were very friendly to me too which is nice when you are travelling solo. It is in a pretty quiet location but only 10 minutes walk from Plaza Independencia where everything is centered,...

I booked this place based on the good reviews I saw, but I was very disappointed. The first room they gave me was a private room with shared bathroom in the back of the hostel. It was really gross (no windows, smelled, dirty spreads, slanted bed), so I asked if I could move to the front room with private bathroom....

The staff payed very good attention to the guests. They were so friendly! They also provided nice tours. We went on a day trip to the mountains. You could book it one day, and the next day you were picked up with a bus at the hostel. The breakfast was simple, but nice. I was also very pleased with the...

we called ahead and were told that only the most expensive room with a living room was available. 1. the living room area is a joke, it's open for everyone and in fact the night-portier invites his buddies over and they hang out there in front of your door. you don't sleep until they leave! 2. the hostel was completely...

One thing about Mendoza is that it has some very cool and funky hostels. Quinta Rufino is not one of them. The hostel is set in a charming restored colonial house, and it feels spacious and cool (in terms of temperature). It is a few minutes away from the bars and restaurant area. The staff is helpful and the excursions they...
