Stayed here for a couple of nights last June, 2022. Arrived early from LIM/SCL and didn't have to wait for my room til check in time. Was also upgraded to their club suite. It looks a bit dated but at least clean. They also provided a full bottle of wine as a Lifetime Titanium. Club lounge is still closed. But complimentary breakfast is served on top floor for Plat & up guests and had some fantastic views of the city. But their offerings were the same every single day. They also have some sparkling wine to make mimosa for breakfast. They have a weird restaurant setup for dinner. And they only have 1 restaurant open for guests on weekdays. First night, I decided to have dinner in the hotel. It was very, VERY empty. But when I went in, I was stopped by this female server who said I cannot eat here. Everything is reserved because of a live band. I asked her then so where am I supposed to eat as a hotel guest? She said "I don't know". Obviously I complained to front desk and they immediately called the restaurant and apologized for the misunderstanding. When I was in the the restaurant, that same server allowed local Argentines in. It just felt weird and off putting as a Non-white/Latin minority. Finished my dinner and had 3 more alcoholic drinks (which were fantastic btw), and the place was still empty (see photo). This was very off putting by that one waitress to an otherwise excellent stay. I hope they do something about her. Anyways, if there was really a live band later that evening, they shouldn't have closed the entire night starting early evening. The rooftop restaurant is obviously by reservation only due to high demand (and is only open on weekends) . So where else are guests supposed to eat if they don't want room service. Anyways... Everybody else here were great especially the front desk staff. They were all helpful and happy to come back.…
With my wife we stayed 4 nights a week ago. Modern hotel with all facilities, icluding gymn, spa and indoor pool. Rooms are ample and comfortable, with everything working as expected, only carpets a bit weary. Very friendly and helpful staff. Free parking included
It is a modern hotel with nice amenities including 24hour gym, heated pool & spa and 2 convenient dining options. Very well located, clean, tidy, with very good service. Memorable experience. Great memories. Comfortable rooms, cozy beds.
Partner and I celebrating with what was supposed to be a trip of a lifetime for a 10 year anniversary. Due to COVID-19 overreaction I've never seen a stay go from so great to absolutely terrible in such a short space of time. On check-in and first day, it was perfection; staff were really friendly, we were upgraded to a club level mountain view room, provided with a complementary bottle of Chandon, breakfast excellent, executive lounge with free savory snacks & wine, great room and location. However found this good news was to be extremely short lived as things rapidly deteriorated that we couldn't wait to get out - not just the hotel but Mendoza in general. We had been following the news closely so knew of developments and the country entry limits /14 day quarantine etc. As Canadian residents with UK passports (haven't been back in 3 yrs) and being in South America for over 3 weeks we were fine under the current criteria. However we got back from a tour on the 2nd day with a note in our room saying that we need to be confined to our room for the rest of our stay despite no questions prior, using all hotel facilities and having the passport as proof. The note also asked us to send a random immigration phone number pictures of our entry stamp /passport as proof. Before breakfast we Whatapp'd the pictures as asked then went downstairs, however almost immediately some burly, meathead security guard pounced on us as soon as we left the elevator, saying we needed to go back to our room asap, to have breakfast in our room and wasn't allowed in the breakfast area limiting to only 50 people (yet letting in all other Spanish speakers without even a word - it was clear xenophobia). We eventually resolved with the guest svs mgr fortunately when the immigration number confirmed we were fine after a lengthy exchange. All of this would have been cleared up had they looked at our entry stamps from the start instead of jumping to conclusions based on Passport issuing country alone. For the remainder of the stay service was stripped down completely (e.g. select from menu instead of buffet), staff may as well have worn hazmat suits and place felt deserted. Who knows how many people were locked up in their rooms. For the rest of our stay it was absolutely terrible, Argentine's stare a lot, but you could see they had nothing to do but gossiping about us like a walking virus everywhere we went - seeing a hundred eyes from housekeeping to the lobby staff. It was so unpleasant and felt completely unwelcome. I'm not fully pinning the blame on Sheraton, as a lot was out of their hands - but made the situation 10 times worse and should realize who the source of their wages are when treating customers. We invested a lot of money into Argentina but based on this experience not sure if I want to visit ever again.…
Stayed here for one night while passing through Mendoza. Chose the hotel due to 12pm check out but we were woken at 8am due to maintenance banging in the surrounding rooms. Contacted reception but it took a while for it it stop. Awful smell coming from the drains in the bathroom. The air con is old and literally took hours to cool the room down. Bed also felt old and fairly uncomfortable. The pool while big needs a good clean. This hotel felt tired and really not up to the standard one would expect in a 5 star hotel. Feel I should note that all staff were excellent and couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful.
Very nice hotel in the center of town; walking distance to restaurants and bars, and various parks close by; clean and spacious rooms; very good service; good beds; good breakfast; and have a casino next door
Great stop after driving seven hours on Ruta 7 from Santiago, Chile. Matias, Luciano, Facundo and Maria made it a great stay. The service was great. The room was excellent. The bustling neighborhood is walkable. The front desk is a fountain of information and they'll guide you to where ever you want to go.
I hate to say anything negative about this hotel because the staff was so good - from the reception to the breakfast room - everyone was so nice, pleasant and helpful, but there are lots of structural problems in the hotel. First and foremost, the sewer smell in the bathroom. This is obviously horrible and I don't need to elaborate, but it was bad. Also there is little noise protection from the hallways so whenever people passed by the room they could be heard. Also - there were no international TV stations. However, on the plus side, aside from the great staff, the hotel is very well located. It's only a 20 minute walk to the farthest places you'd want to walk in the town - and a quick walk to cafés and restaurants near the Plaza de Independencia. There is a very convenient parking in the basement of the hotel and it is very easy to get in and out of the city to go visit the wineries. The wifi was very good and there are universal plugs in the rooms so you don't need adapters for non-Argentine plugs. The breakfast is very good - although I would suggest that they start using large (normal size) plates. It isn't easy having breakfast on salad size plates! All in all, I had a very nice stay. I really enjoyed it. But the sewer smell coming through the plumbing is a real problem that must be addressed.…
Great hotel, great location, great staff, great pool and bountiful breakfast too. What else can I say? I'd love to go back, it was just perfect, and booked at zenhotels.com it was a steal, too. My first time using that site and at the time I made the reservation, all other sites I checked (at least 3 including tripdavisor, booking, and marriott) wanted between $300-400 per night, at zenhotels.com we paid $379 for four nights, and including breakfast. I'll be using them again.
Very good stay overall. Housekeeping was fantastic. Very clean rooms and bathroom. Quick, hassle-free checkin. Did not try any of the restaurants nor the breakfast. Location isn’t bad, small casino next door. Quick hassle-free checkout. Only bad part: It’s impossible to regulate shower temperature! Terrible variations, one second cold, then boiling! Management should review that point.
