We are a couple and stayed in the 4 bed dorm. The room and ensuite were comfortable and clean. The breakfast is basic but tasty and we enjoyed it. Reception staff super helpful. Easy walk to bus station and town. However not a lot to do in Mendoza in winter. Be aware that the border to chile closes in winter... More

Hola! Thanks for your review! We just want to let any one planning to come to Mendoza know there is lots to do both in the city and in the surrounding areas all year round. How about a wine tasting and/or lunch in a winery or two? Or rafting. Visit the largest municipal park in Latin America, or head up... More

We stayed here for a few nights during a trip through Argentina and had a great time. The staff at the hostel were very friendly and helpful in organising trips for us and giving us advice on things to do in Mendoza, and their rescue dog was very friendly and cuddly. Easy walking distance to the centre of Mendoza and... More

We really enjoyed our stay here. Mau on reception was super helpful and went above and beyond for us. The dog was nice and friendly. Very laid back and chilled out hostel which was ideal for our stay in Mendoza. Breakfast was basic but that was all we needed.

We stayed here 3 nights and really enjoyed the bed in the private room. Decorated very cute shabby chic with a friendly dog to greet you. It's close to the bus station and they have great tours to enjoy. If I ever find myself in Mendoza again I will stay at Lao!

Walking distance to main hot spots - easy going communal area, met some good people, laid back. Low/No WiFi in our room. Welcoming dog Margarita. We had the torrontes room, they acknowledged that the handles needed fixing, but I had a feeling that this wasn't something that was just found out but rather on-going...

It was a nice hostel. the staff were really nice and helpful. Breakfast is basic. The rooms are clean and bright. The bathrooms are not in the room but private and clean. Only improvement point is you need confirm that the tours are booked as they forgot to book our wine tour but they were quick to offer a solution... More

Dear Guest. Thanks for your feedback. We would just like to say that we do have rooms with ensuite bathrooms. You booked and stayed in one of two that have their private bathrooms 1 metre from the room in a corridor only accessed by 3 double rooms. Breakfast is, just like the room you stayed in, exactly as described on... More

We stayed at hostel Lao over the annual wine festival and had a wonderful time. Breakfast is good, staff are incredibly helpful and we fell in love with the resident dog. One day a booking error meant that we didn't get picked up for a planned trip and the owner was on the phone for nearly half an hour sorting... More

We stayed several nights in the mate room. It was very comfortable and had a private bathroom. The breakfast has buns and fruit with coffee and the wifi works very well. The staff is very, very helpful and has made many reservations for us. I would highly recommend this place.

I was there for the Vendimia. I don't know how I can thank the staff at Hostel Lao. They were very patient with me and helped me greatly despite the language barrier. They were great in helping me find my way despite being lost in Mendoza, speaking to my taxi driver on the phone. The hostel is fairly central, the... More
