The accommodations were beautiful! Very well-appointed, comfortable, quiet and peaceful, and the food was amazing! Shooting was great even in off-seasonā€”compared to hunting in Texas or Tennessee. We hope to return!

My wife and I visited Los Chanares in the second half of February. It was our first trip to Argentina and it was AMAZING! My wife had never hunted before and we expected her to maybe come out once, but she had so much fun the first afternoon (hunting over a gorgeous sunflower field), she came out with me every other time.

The food was as good as we have had in any of the best restaurants from Chicago IL to Florence Italy. Truly exceptional!

The managers Juan, and Nauel were very intuitive about what you needed to have the best time. The service at the lodge is second to none.

Our guide in the field hunting (Rene) was a real pro! Not only was he able to keep our guns loaded, but he made missing fun, and your ā€œgood shotsā€ seem really exceptional! We would give him an 11 out of 10 stars!

The grounds of the lodge and even the blinds you hunt from are maintained like a high end golf course. The amount of work that they put into maintaining this beautiful slice of paradise is truly staggering.

Last but certainly not least. The comradery that we enjoyed with the other hunters staying at the lodge was unbelievably awesome. People from all over, but all with a passion to enjoy, and see others enjoy the outdoors. Drinks, meals and visits with the other guests put this over the top as a trip of a lifetime.

Iā€™m trying to figure out if I can squeeze two trips in next year.

Wow!!! Thanks so much Chris! We are ecstatic you had a trip of a lifetime! Whenever a guest complements us this way, we know we are on the right track, thank you. Juan and Nahuel are our super hosts. Their experience and hard work can be noticed in every corner of the Lodge, the field and every member of our staff. They are the best! Rene is a great fun guy. We will send your message to him and you can ask to hunt with Rene again in your next visit. Next time your wife will not be a rookie and on her next trip she will master dove shooting!! I am glad you enjoyed the sunflower fields; it is the best time to come down to Cordoba. it is beautiful and it attracts thousands of doves. Next time you come you can bring a larger party o share with some fine people again. We have guests from different cities that want to share every time they come since they became friends at the Lodge. We hope you can make it twice in 2021! Happy hunting, Los Chanares Staff

There really isn't an adequate way to explain Los Chanares. The simple truth is that the lodge and its staff are as good as you could possible hope or imagine. The food was great, the accommodations were perfect (I slept like a baby in a perfectly climate-controlled room with a great mattress and bedding), and the after-hunt environment was perfect, whether you wanted to relax in hammock, sit in the pool or hottub, or swap lies over a cocktail.

As for the lies, they won't be about birds ... because this place has LOADS of them, and very close to the estancia. Nevertheless, Nahuel (host/manager/friend to all) and his folks make sure to move the hunting around so that we had long shots at large flocks of birds one day, followed by closer in shooting the next. etc. Each day was a new adventure with the only constant being that there were sure to be many, many doves, and our loaders were there before, during and after to make everything comfortable and fun.

Frankly, although I love to shoot doves, I took this trip with my son because he wanted some high volume shooting and I had always wanted to see Buenos Aires. Buenos Aires was incredible in its own right, but Los Chanares stole the show for me and my son. We can't wait to come back.

Twelve of us - 9 hunters and 3 guests stayed at the lodge which is absolutely beautiful. Impeccable service and the rooms were a 4.5 star hotel. Food was exquisite yet simple. Outdoor dining was a special treat at night overlooking the gorgeous pool and hot tub area. One night the manager brought in 2 local musicians which really made the night special. One of the chefs was making craft cocktails while we ate delicious appetizers. Everything is included in this special lodge which makes the experience wonderful.

Our group has hunted dove in several states in the US and nothing compares to the quantity and variety of species as you will find in Cordoba. 3 of the hunters had never hunted and they were able to shoot over a 100 birds a day while others shot in excess of 700/day.. I had reservations about taking my wife and she wanted to stay an extra day. An epic dove hunting experience.

Thank you for your wonderful review! We are glad you had an amazing time, Los Chanares is the perfect place to combine hunters with non-hunters, as everyone will be pleased! Our dove shooting, as you mentioned, is epic. During our sunflower season our guests can enjoy a unique hunting in our sunflower fields full of doves. Also, Cordoba is famous for being the perfect shooting spot for first time hunters or for even the most experienced wing shooter, there is a hunt for everyone! Last year we finished our makeover lodge plan with the addition of a new hot tube and a beautiful outdoor fireplace and living room, making this place perfect for long summer evenings. Summer is amazing, since you can dine al fresco and have a special candlelight dining experience. If you are wondering if this is the place to bring your non-hunting family, then do not hesitate since our lodge is filled with activities they can do or they will love to just lay drown and relax in our place. We hope to see your group back some time soon. Happy hunting, Los Chanares Staff

Having just returned from my 3rd trip to this fantastic venue I feel somewhat disappointed with the communication. I first visited in 2016 and found the quality and quantity of doves very satisfactory, in 2018 having returned found the numbers had greatly decreased. I was due to return in 2021 but with covid restrictions was unable to travel and the trip was postponed for 12 months.During this period I received emails giving me an update on dove numbers and how the doves have returned, however this was far from the truth and when I returned was shocked at the lack of birds. The hospitality was as a always very good but having to travel up to 4 hours a day to try and find the numbers was unacceptable and this had not been communicated to me in anyway before arrival thus making the lodge an expensive hotel . Response from Alex Mitri, Owner at Los Chanares
Responded Feb 18, 2022
Hello This is Alex Mitri from Los Chanares. I am very sorry to hear about your trip. If you look at our reviews, we have 260 reviews and all are 5 stars. For the past 17 years, our goal has always been to make our clients happy and be totally honest about our service. We consistently made that happen, as you can read back on our reviews. Again, our deepest apologies for your recent experience. I think the first thing we need to address is our communication. The most obvious change right now is to give a heads up notice to our clients coming of any new situation developing close to their trips. Regarding the general panorama of our hunting, I think it is important to recognize we are unable to predict the natural patterns and behavior of a wild bird. Please remember these are not pin raised birds (like quail or pheasant), but wild ones that react to climate change, crop rotation, breeding habits, among other natural uncontrollable variables. That is why we call it hunting and not shooting. Having said that we have had an urgent meeting with our scouts, guides and hosts, this morning to address your comments. The conclusion was that for the last couple of weeks, the birds have been breeding and are currently in their nesting stage. This used to happen later in the year when we had our lodges closed from April ā€“ June. Apparently this seems to be changing without any previous warning. We can only guess it is for some natural reason in their breeding cycle. This also seems to be affecting their nesting areas, changing their locations and also the concentration of birds on any given field. In any event we will be more thorough and quick with our communications to upcoming groups. On a separate note, I am glad to hear that despite the 2 years of pandemic and having our lodges closed, we are still up to standards with our teams service and lodging. Finally, let me say we appreciate your sincere post online. It helps us get better. We will reach out via email to see if there is anything we can do to remedy the situation. Please do not hesitate to give us a call to discuss the situation in further detail. Best regards, Alex and FlyWays team PD I am copying this same exact response to the other 2 people in your group who posted below.

This is a great dove hunting lodge. Food was really good. All the meals were awesome, and the fried dove we got was really good. Every staff member was really nice and the last day of December the season was closed so Juan took the kids fishing in a small nearby creek. There were so many dove. There is a good gun selection to use with all gauges of semi-autos and over-unders. All the blinds were really close. Some would be a two minute walk to the lodge, and some would be a 10 minute drive form the lodge.

Thank you so much for taking your time to write this wonderful review. We are very happy you had a great time at Los ChaƱares welcoming the new year! You made a special mention to our food and the doves we cook. Our chef only uses the best local ingredients to prepare his gourmet recipes. Also, since our hunters cannot take home the doves they hunt and everyone wants to try them, we make some delicious nuggets, or fried dove or pate. Every meal is well planned so that you can fully enjoy your hunting break. The shooting at Los ChaƱares is simple incredible! We have a wide selection of guns you can try and different fields we take our hunters so they can enjoy a new adventure every day! We hope you have a great 2020 and we look forward to seeing you back at the Lodge! Happy hunting, Los ChaƱares Staff

This trip was nothing short of amazing! The staff is absolutely incredible and so accommodating to our needs. Anytime we ask for something there was never any hesitation and they made sure to get whatever it is that we needed. Nahuel has been the best host that we have ever had, of the trips that we have taken to Cordoba, Argentina! The food was amazingly delicious, and never disappointed! Overall it was such a great trip and I cannot wait for the next one!

This was my 3rd trip to Los Chanares dating back over 15 years. The accommodations are excellent as was the staff, (especially host Juan) and food. We came in the "low" season so we had the lodge almost to ourselves which allowed us to decide when we are served meals, when we go hunting etc. The birds are not as plentiful in the low season, but still lots to shot at

Better than GREAT experience. Host Nahuel, house staff, chief, and Field Assistants will do everything to make this the best trip ever. Dove hunting in Argentina has been #1 on my Bucket List for 30 years. I definitely waited to long to do this. In 3 days I had a 68% shot avg with a total of 2,199 birds. I have not shot a shotgun in over 10 years so that says a lot about how many birds were there. All types of shooting. My son is hooked on the trip. My friend Robert who recommended this place has been 5 times and they lived up to the level of all of the experience and photos he shared with me.
