Casona del Rio is a haven from the hustle and bustle of the busy city, only an hour away from Buenos Aires.. There is an excellent train to Tigre from Retiro Station and a frequent ferry service from Tigre to the Casona. It's a wonderful place to rest, recharge and regenerate. The hosts are generous and unintrusive. You will have...

It is a comfortable small hostel a short boat ride away from tigre. It only has few bed rooms and a fully equiped kitchen. The garden is nice to sit in and its quite calm apart from bypassing motor boats.

This is a great spot to relax and enjoy the quiet of the Tigre Delta. Hosts are warm and welcoming and invite you into their home as guests. We had a wonderful time watching the boats pass by and taking walks on this little island. Would absolutely recommend!

I arrived at Casona del Rio after a week spent in Buenos Aires, I was needing some relax into the nature and here I found what I was looking for! I stood at Casona del Rio for 3 nights. You have to go first to Tigre, a cute town 50 minutes by train from Buenos Aires, and then take the...

We stayed one night and had a great time for relaxing. Although it takes some time getting there, Tigre is an interesting and nice place for recreation, water-fun and relaxing. The owners are very friendly and helpfull. The rooms are good. And also the food.

I was traveling with my family to Buenos Aires and we decided to get out of the big city for a few days and explore. Spending time at Casona del Rio was like a tonic of tranquility. It felt like a home away from home. The rooms were comfortable, well appointed and the proprietors were warm, welcoming and helpful. We...

I went to this place on the river yesterday to recover from the noise and chaos of Buenos Aires. First of all, it's a nightmare getting there. There are hundreds of unmarked boats leaving from various docks. I was told that there was a boat every hour- this is nonsense; there were 3 boats. I spent 2 hours looking (and...

We worked at Casona Del Rio for a little over 2 weeks. It was great. The owners were nice and welcoming. Also we got to work on projects that were interesting to us. The stay was great too. They offered massages on the weekend as well as free kayaking along the waterways. The rooms were nice and each one had...

The setting is beautiful. The rooms are full of "antiques" but it feels dusty and cluttered. The bathroom was OK until the used toilet paper overflowed from the waste bin. They should empty it at least once preferably a couple of days.

Im glad so many people had a wonderful time there and wish we had. The Inn did not seem overly clean or friendly. Much of the lawn furniture was broken and couldn't be used. Would not recommend this inn.
