This is a friendly and well run hotel. The location is across the road from the beach and our room had a very good view. The room was quite small but everything worked including the air conditioner worked and there was a fridge to keep things cool. Breakfast is included and is provided in a sunny large room overlooking the... More

The only good thing about this hotel is its location, just a few meters from the beach and away from downtown which is not nice at all. The service in the hotel is primitive and the furniture in the room hasn't recieved furniture in a lifetime. It looks like they bought the toilet and the bed from a garbage vendor.

I just had a very delightful stay at the Merit. It is across the street from the Plaza España and the beach itself and a short walk to the downtown. The breakfast is generous with a wide variety of items to suit any taste. The room was spacious and nicely appointed. Mine was a short 3 day stay but the... More

The location couldn't be better. Close enought to the city center to walk, far enough to have a calm stay. The beach is just over the street and is an affordable hotel with a friendly and helpfull staff. The rooms are ok, the hotel needs a bit of a renovation as someone else wrote but isn't bad at all. Stayed here for some nights back in July while visiting the city. The prices are very reasonable, visiting during winter, they were quite low. The rooms are ok, but nothing extraordinary. Our room faced a parking lot, but it didn't bother us at all. The room was clean, but I felt the rooms need some renovation/upgrades.

Taking into consideration the average standards Argentinian hotels hold, this hotel is pretty good. The room - not the bathroom or the alleys - is spacious and up-to-date. The bed and the pillows guarantee a good night sleep. The sheets are ok, new, thick and cleaned enough not to have that sensation of sleeping with the last guest who stayed... More

The public contact staff of youngsters working here is great. Energetic and positive. The location is good...only a few blocks from the tourist center. The hotel, however, is a plain jane without any exceptional attributes. Furnishings are spartan. The rooms feel empty and cold. Views of the ocean are limited (but nice). The rooms have the feel of a college... More

“They are good rooms but the best is with a front view. The restaurant in first floor have that breathtaking view.”

“All the back apartments have a confined view to other buildings. If you like and can, make a reservation for some of the apartments with a beach view. I don't know if all the rooms of this hotel are restored. There are areas in it totally forgotten in the past. I imagine a non-restored room must be somewhat frightening there. So, make sure you get a restored room.”
