For people seeking a B&B atmosphere, I can recommend this highly. Paz is a delightful host, showing true hospitality and a desire for her guests to enjoy Buenos Aires and be comfortable. The room was lovely. I asked for the interior room as I am a light sleeper, and I found I heard no street noise whatsoever. The light breakfast, rolls with (yum) dulce de lece, coffee, orange juice etc was a time to chat to Paz and feel I got to know more about Argentina. As others have noted, she lent a map and a card for the subway/bus which just had to be credited, and she was very helpful in any recommendations and directions. The shower was very small but that's not much a downside. The apartment is very centrally located. It felt like a home away from home, and Paz is such a warm-hearted person. It was especially good for a single woman like myself.…
Arriving at Paz's place was like showing up at the house of a best friend I didn't yet know I had. Paz is a wonderfully kind-hearted, open, fun, easy-going person that really understands people. I showed up overwhelmed and broken-hearted, trying to begin my life anew in Buenos Aires, and she made me feel like I could absolutely handle everything that lie before me, that I could heal, and that I was exactly where the powers that be intended for me to be. I will be grateful to her for my time there and the way she made me feel for the rest of my life.
Paz is a wonderful host. Her flat is centrally located, walking distance from many sites and she loans guests use of refillable subway/bus cards for those places farther out. She will help you organize your stay and get to wherever you want to go in the city. We were very comfortable and I would definitely return on my next trip to BA. Thank you Paz!
Could not have been happier with Yira Yira and the lovely Paz! The guest house is a beautiful apartment in a 100 year old building in Recoleta, BA's most elegant neighborhood. All the major sites are in walking distance; the area is safe and not too touristy, but still feels very much at the center of things. Paz provides a delicious light breakfast and, more importantly, all the advice you need for navigating the city. My traveling companion and I - both women in our mid 20s - felt almost as if we were doing a homestay with a warm, helpful host mother. This is a perfect place to stay, especially if it's your first time in BA and you don't know anyone there - having Paz as a resource makes the city much less overwhelming. Only slight downside is that the street (Uruguay) has noisy traffic at night; if you're a light sleeper, request the bedroom that doesn't face the street.…
Thanks to Paz, our trip to BA was wonderful. Her home is a lovely place to stay-- centrally located, warm, comfortable and filled with charm. We enjoyed the breakfasts, conversations with Paz and her other guests. Paz helped with maps, directions, tips on what to see and where to go, and wonderful stories about life in BA. Paz was a miracle worker in getting taxis for us when none were to found on the streets due to bad weather. I plan to return and will definitely stay with Paz. She's becoming a family tradition. Thanks, Paz!!
