Dirty. No airconditioning. Under the bed the haven't been vacumcleaned the last couple of years it seemed. No places to put your stuff and you defenently didn't want to put them on the floor. Shared baths and toilets was humid and dirty and there wasn't enough. Every time my boyfriend wanted to go to the toilet a guy would be...

Pro's It has a really good location in Palermo, right near everything but not so near that it gets noisy due to the crowds The bar is cheap, easy to meet people It is near other hostels and hotels so that when you leave this hostel in disgust there is plenty of choice nearby Cons Horrible, dirty rooms with linen...

Start with the good: great location but that's where the positives end. Our beds were still dirty when we checked in, the bathroom upstairs smells disgusting, gets blocked frequently and on a whole just very unclean. Our dorm room upstairs was unbearably hot with only one small ancient fan that barely circulated any air. In fact the whole hostel was...

Rad little hostel in the heart of Palermo, ba. The staff were all awesome and showed us a great time. They were super knowledgeable about the surrounding areas and welcomed our questions. One night Gaspar took the whole crew out for a night on the town, really fun. The dorm room we were in got really hot by day and...

Stayed for 3 nights. Staff is great, superfriendly and they all speak good english. The hostel is small, which makes you get to know everyone staying there and it creates a great vibe. The only thing I could complain about was that the room didn't have air-conditioning, but apart from that, it is one of the best hostels I've stayed...

I have returned to Back in BA a few times since the staff is truly wonderful. I saw reviews of complaints of noise but I never had such a problem. In any event, it is a hostel and not a hotel so expectations should be appropriate. It is well located, clean, and comfortable.

The cheapest place we stayed at in Buenos Aires out of about 5 different places? Sure. Best value for money? Surely not. The double rooms are probably OK but save yourself from that ground floor dorm if you can - it was cold (May 2016) and dirty. The complimentary breakfast scraped by. Wifi was OK in the main upstairs communal...

I originally had a different hostel to stay at, and I arrived to find out it was closed! I was stuck in Buenos Aires with nowhere to stay without a previous booking. Finally Back in BA said they had a room and helped me with directions there. The bed was paid by the day, which was great. The room and...

Overall had a terrible time at back in BA... we felt the need to move hostels. Stayed 3 nights, first night was very noisey then ironically the next night we were told to be quiet in the communal area as guests near by were flying out that morning. We soon learned the guests were not even in their room. Found...

Located in a good location in Palermo. Staff are friendly, speak very good English and helpful to organise tours and things to do. The rooms are standard and functional. We had a private room with bathroom which had a ceiling fan but needed AC as BA is hot and humid in summer and sleeping at night was a little uncomfortable.

Staying in Palermo

Neighborhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favorite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
