This very pleasant B&B is situated in Palermo Viejo, an ideal location to stay when visiting Buenos Aires. The cobbled streets of this attractive neighbourhood are lined by old houses and huge leafy trees. It has a wide variety of good restaurants and cafes filled with a vibrant crowd of students and young professionals. There are also supermarkets big and... More

I spent a week in the hotel. The room was convenient and clean. The owner of the hotel very nice as well as the cleaning lady. The hotel is located close to Palermo Soho which is a nice area full of restaurants, shops, cafés, and some milongas, e.g., Salon Canning and La Viruta. Public transport (buses) runs along the Scalabrini... More

Beautiful rooms, which were designed by the owner who is an architect. We had three people in our group and stayed in a room with a loft. Very unique design...we loved it!!! Fantastic location in Old Palermo (walking distance to restaurants, bars, milongas, shopping, etc). Good breakfast and helpful tips from the owner on what to visit, how to exchange... More

Palermo Viejo B&B was just perfect for us. We went back twice through out our trip in Argentina. Ariel is the perfect host, very attentive and informative. He gave us many useful information about Buenos Aires and also booked our ferry to Uruguay for us. Breakfast was great, a good range of options (even for me that i'm celiac). The... More

We extended our stay to eight nights in this very nice b&b. It is amazing to find such a quiet and relaxing place in a busy city. We loved the decorations in the rooms, all the small details that are in place, quiet going a/c, small fridge, comfortable beds, small, but airy rooms. Breakfast is personal and delicious, cereals, yoghurt,... More

Thanks Eve for your nice comments. It was nice also to talk about lots of things with you and I'm glad you've extended your stay as we had more time to do so. I'm glad you felt good and at home here. It's the kind of feeling we are happy our guest take with them. Hugs, Ariel More

We had just come from wide-open silent spaces of Patagonia so for us the noise of the Big City was bothersome. This place is a "sausage house" with a small frontage on the street and a long house extending back where the rooms are-- making them about as quiet as I suppose is possible in BA. The air conditioning was... More

This place is like a home away from home in Buenos Aires. Ariel's personal attention to his guests makes the experience of being in the busy capital very pleasant. Very well located near transit, restaurants and shops, Palermo Viejo is an oasis of piece with the nice little courtyard. Bed, food, Wi-Fi, decor are excellent.

We stayed here for five night and it was really nice! The rooms are very nice, spacy and clean. Breakfast is so nice, and it feel like it's really made with love. We got home made bread, jams, dulce de leche, cerials, fruite, yogurt and egg as you like it. It was in a very nice area, with nice restaurantes... More

The small, pleasant B&B (five rooms only) in Palermo Viejo was conveniently located and very comfortable. The owner, Ariel, and his assistants were very accommodating and attentive. The breakfast was hearty and delicious, and I felt free to ask questions or advice from Ariel whenever I saw him. My room with private bath was quiet, had a mini fridge and... More

Staying in Palermo

Neighborhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favorite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Stylish B&B in the heart of Palermo Viejo/Soho. The house is located in a 1901 building, traditional of those days in Buenos Aires neighborhoods. The Casa Chorizo has been renewed keeping its original style. High ceilings, brick and thick walls are one of the details to mention. As a narrow landmark the rooms are organized in a row, facing the side patio/garden full of green where hanging out after a long day is a must. All the rooms have private en-suite bathroom and two of them are big enough with a double level to accommodate more than two people, perfect for 3 or 4. The art work of different artists is found everywhere in the property which gives it a Bohemian atmosphere. The decor is simple, where each item was found in flea markets and auctions to make the B&B a warm and a perfect place to feel at home away of home. ... more   less
