The hotel is okay. It isn't great and it isn't awfull, it is just okay. If you are intending on spending all of your time at the hotel, do not stay there. But if you are planning on going back to the hotel just to take a bath and sleep, shower is great (with hot water and plenty of space...

I stayed here for 4 nights in a single ensuite room. The hotel is located in a rough area comprising small streets with people loitering around. However, it is within 5 minute walk to Calle Flordia and another 15-20 minute walk to other attractions. I stayed here because of the price, location, and comparison of reviews on other establishments. The...

Although centrally located, one block from Av. 9 de Julio, near pedestrian shopping streets (Lavalle and Florida), bus stops and subway stations, the hotel’s street (Suipacha) gets really unsafe after 10pm; one staff member warned me against numerous robberies by night. At this time, Suipacha is under construction, one very narrow path on each side allows the street access; if...

Do not stay here. I've had better service at hostels. When we walked in, the hotel didn't have room for us and put us in another hotel a block away. It wasn't far, but not what we booked. The room wasn't ready or clean, so he asked us to go for a lunch or something while it was cleaned. When...

we stayed for 4 days the last week of May - 2013 I'll start with the few positives: 1) The location is really good, just a few blocks from Corrientes and the Obelisco. 2) Housekeeping seems to do a good job 3) Even though some reviews say the area is kind of ugly late at night, we didn't really feel...

I was walking around at 3AM looking for a room and the front desk clerk gave major attitude when I arrived at the front door. The area surrounding the hotel isn't the best in BA. The city has many accomodation options, so a reccomend to go somewhere else.

I stayed here on an Intrepid Tour for 3 days. The rooms are very basic but the location cannot be beat- right off the 9 de Julio a block or so from the Obelisk, on a very quiet street. Walking distance to great shopping and near the Opera House and tango shows. I have no complaints about the service. Breakfast...

We stayed here as part of an intrepid journey, and apart from the central location, we did not enjoy our stay. Wifi kept dropping off, shower leaked into the hallway, big hole in one of our towels, stained and holey sheets, terrible service on the front desk, and overall did not feel very clean. Would not stay again and think...

Staying in San Nicolas

Neighborhood Profile
San Nicolas
Immersed in the sound of honking horns and the footsteps of busy office workers, the Microcentro area of San Nicolás is where visitors will encounter the true hustle and bustle of Buenos Aires, walking down streets lined with office buildings and banks. The financial district is well-known for its vibrant atmosphere and unstoppable rhythm during office hours. After dark, the hubbub migrates to Corrientes Ave., where theater lovers might start their evening at a play and end it in one of the many traditional pizzerias nearby. During the day, Corrientes is known for its many bookshops and classic cafés, which are located just minutes away from some famous landmarks, like the Obelisco, Avenida 9 de Julio, and the Teatro Colon.
