During my trip to Buenos Aires, I had the pleasure of staying twice at Ulises Recoleta Suites, once in a Duplex Studio, a two bedroom loft type apartment, and the second time in a one bedroom suite. Both units were equipped with a kitchenette, which made it easy to keep agua, vino, cerveza, or whatever we'd bring back with us...

We stayed at the Ulises Recoleta Suites at the end of December. We are a family of 5 and therefore booked (in August) the Penthouse suite and an executive suite. It was a very unpleasant experience. When we arrived, we were informed that the air conditioning in the main rooms of the penthouse was not working and if we desired,...

This property claims to be a "boutique hotel", but it is just a small hotel in a city with plenty of places for every taste. Although the building itself is old, I did not find it outdated. Even the quaint (and very small) lifts were modern. On the positive side, mainly its location, close to Recoleta cemetery and mall, but...

Fantastic location, nice size room, very friendly and helpful staff , especially Jorge, who kept giving us tips on where to go and always had a smile on his face. The pillows could be a bit softer. Breakfast was good with honey medialunas and nice strong coffee.

We enjoyed our family stay at this boutique hotel. We had a two stories suite which was very stylish. Our little one enjoyed the suite very much, with an entire floor for herself with fully equipped bathroom, kitchen and tv. The second floor suite has a modern jet bath tub. The room had a few minor things that show a...

We booked three rooms for ten days at this hotel and I highly recommend it for three reasons: --SAFE LOCATION It is located across the street from the Alvear Palace Hotel and facing the best French Bakery in Buenos Aires, Jean Pierre Patisserie. It is within walking distance from the famous Recoleta Cemetery and several good cafes (La Rambla, San...

My daughter and I spent 8 nights at this small, attractive hotel. We loved the location in a beautiful neighborhood, only a short bus ride from the metro system. And our suite could not have been more comfortable. But best of all was the staff -- gracious, kind and tremendously helpful. All in all, a wonderful experience. Highly, highly recommended!!

Lovely boutique hotel in a good location, next to the beautiful Alvear Palace Hotel, a few minutes walk to the cemetery, tourist bus, restaurants, etc. Safe area of BA. Hotel staff arranged for a taxi service to pick us up at the Airport and to take us to the ship which was very helpful. They also exchanged money for us...

Staying in Recoleta

Neighborhood Profile
Characterized by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighborhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centered on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
