We stayed a total of 5 nights at the Hub Porteno between arriving in BA and returning after travel. It is located in the lovely affluent neighbourhood of Recoleta where many other large hotels (Hyatt, Four Seasons, Sofitel etc.) are located. But this is a small boutique hotel on a side street which is quiet with large beautifully furnished rooms and particularly large modern bathrooms. You walk out the door and can be at many sites in a short walk. Nearby are many restaurants and cafes. The neighbourhood is bustling. I recommend you ask for a room facing the courtyard as the street can be a bit noisy. The staff were lovely and helpful. The breakfast was quite good as was the lovely young waitress who served us every morning with a lively smile. I do think that you get larger more lovely rooms in this boutique hotel than you would at one of the larger hotels with a lot more peace and quiet. We did spend some time on the terrace rooftop on the 4th floor and enjoyed that. I also used the equipment in the very small gym area (elliptical, treadmill, bike). Nearby, we went to the restaurant, Fervour. It is high end and has good food. But right beside it is a gem of a place that all the locals frequent called El Sanjuanino which has empanadas and a lot more for a very reasonable price. We went there twice and enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere and good food. I would also say walking around Recoleta is very safe, including at night so the location was a bonus from that perspective as well.…
If you like small luxury hotels in beautuful neighborhoods, look no further. The rooms are like huge suites, the staff is so helpful, a gorgeous breakfast is served either in your room or in the restaurant where we had a terrific sushi dinner, and the upstairs outdoor terrace is a lovely spot as well. Note, there really is not a gym, it's just a bike and eliptical, but that would be the only drawback.
I was treated to a trip to BA by my son and could not have chosen a better hotel. I much prefer this type than the big luxury hotels. This was previously a home and still feels like you are a special guest in a private home. 11 rooms, a lovely terrace, comfortable sitting room, bar and restaurant on the main floor is all that's needed. The hotel is in the beautiful Recoleta neighborhood and is a close walk to a beautiful park, shopping and restaurants. The staff was all friendly and attentive. Large rooms, great shower pressure and breakfast included made for a wonderful stay. I highly recommend Hub Porteno!
Staying at the Hub Porteno felt as though you were in someones elegant home. It was quiet, lovely and very genteel. My room was large and comfortable with all the amenities that were needed, large closet, robe, great bathroom , desk and a little table and chairs . The restaurant at the hotel is lovely but was not in use when I was there it was available for room service which was great , the food quite good, especially the empanadas. The staff was excellent, Ivana could not have been kinder and more helpful. If you enjoy small intimate hotels without a lot of bells and whistles, this should be your choice when staying in Buenos Aires.
This is a boutique hotel in an excellent location within walking distance to many highlights. The rooms are big and the shower water pressure the best I‘ve ever seen! But what truly makes this hotel great are the staff. Front desk manager Andre is outstanding as is his female teammate (I don’t have her name.) The bar and restaurant staff are also very friendly and professional. This hotel is a great way to enjoy Buenos Aires!
My wife and I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough if you are looking for a special hotel experience in a fabulous city. After a long haul overnight flight it was lovely to receive such a warm and personal welcome. Originally constructed as a private residence it has been tastefully converted into an exclusive boutique hotel. The suite was just as shown on the hotel's website with loads of space and a very well equipped jacuzzi bath/shower room. We loved the roof terrace which was the ideal place to unwind after a day exploring the city. We were served complimentary snacks and drinks on terrace whilst chatting to fellow guests. The ground floor bar and separate restaurant have plenty of character. What really makes this hotel standout are the staff. Without exception we found them to be professional, friendly and knowledgeable. They take great pride in somehow knowing who you are without you having to introduce yourself. We found the surrounding area safe and interesting to explore. There are numerous bars, restaurants, shops and history in the world renowned Recoleta district.…
My husband and I were fortunate enough to spend 3 nights at Hub Porteno. Staff were professional and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Our room (25) was of majestic proportions and tastefully decorated. The bath and shower were the largest I’ve ever come across. Only downside waS the noise from the road out front.
Fabulous location, impeccable service in a personal boutique hotel. We would stay here again in a heartbeat and highly recommend. Breakfast is in the adjoining restaurant where the food and service was also outstanding. Take a bottle of wine to the rooftop and watch the city come alive.
Our family stayed at the Hub Porteno over the holidays, and it is an absolute gem of a hotel! Situated in the heart Recoleta, it is a lovely, small boutique hotel with very spacious, beautiful rooms, wonderful breakfasts and a fabulous concierge service. They arranged everything for us, dinners, performances, transportation, etc. All the staff were friendly and extraordinarily helpful and accommodating in every way. There is a lovely roof-top bar as well. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Buenos Aires! You cannot beat the value, the location, the spaciousness, or the hospitality of this hotel.
I cannot say enough good things about our stay at Hub Porteno. This is all you could ask for in a boutique hotel. An old building which has been thoroughly rendered into an elegant and luxurious accommodation of just 11 rooms. What really stands out though are the thoughtful concierge services which are always at the ready to insure you have a great experience. The manager told us they have four concierges — the same number as the 120 bed nearby Park Hyatt. We had an evening flight home so we checked out late morning, toured around a bit then returned to the room late afternoon, showered and changed on the fourth floor lounge and workout area. Yes, this is how you do it. Finally, because there had been a brief afternoon aguacerra, taxis were difficult to find to get to the airport. We walked to the corner where one of the concierges went into traffic at the stoplight to get us one. Get the idea? I have a few notches on my belt from Four Seasons etc. around the world and I can only tell you that this was probably my best hotel experience ever. Muchas Gracias por su ayuda! …
