We were using Buenos Aires as a base for our holiday and had an extra two nights at the end of the trip. Hotel is very basic and old, but the floors of the rooms had at least been updated so they were flooring and no longer carpet. Rooms were clean and quiet. Nothing "wow" but all you really need...

My girlfriend and I stayed for two nights in june. It was cold out and the room was a bit draughty (window didn't shut tight). The shower and bed were and warm nice though. Terrible breakfast, but the location is good for finding places to eat and to explore the city.

Great cost benefit. The place looks beautiful on the inside and is very clean. Staff is very kind and helpful, and the receptionists speak English very well - feel free to ask them tips and directions, as they are happy to help. The hotel offers a simple, yet sufficient breakfas, but it gets tiring after 5 days eating the same...

This hotel has a nice central location. You may walk to multiple destinations in this town from this hotel. Rooms, accommodations, cleanness are average. I stayed few days - breakfast very simple, no varieties, scrambled eggs simply not acceptable. Staff polite and helpful. If I am second time in Buenos Aeries I will look for a different hotel.

As always I book hotels based on customer feedback. I wasn't expecting this to be a world beater and amaze us and it didn't. However it was a decent hotel, clean enough room, although a little dated, in a good location that appeared quiet. Very good value for money for sure. We missed breakfast so can't comment.

Friendly staff, awesome location, located on road that is pedestrian ONLY during the day, so watch if your transportation may have to drop you off a block away. During the night you can have safe taxi pick you up and drop you off on your doorstep. There is plenty of public transport near by, shops, restaurants and historical locations. The...

Biggest issue with this place was with a guy working at the reception desk. My mother in law could not access her safe around 8pm and the guy at the desk said the man with the key will be back in the morning. As we were leaving for dinner he mentioned a special deal they had for that night only...

The beds were nice and comfortable with clean linen. The breakfast was good with a variety of items including hot scrambled eggs. The greeting at reception was good and the staff provided assistance with bag storage and dining recommendations. Sadly, the bathroom was the let- down. The shower area had lots of mould and a constantly dripping tap. Also, the...

Imagine spending five nights in Buenos Aires' summer in a room with no air-conditioning. Now imagine this plus no electric light at all. Considering it was so hot, they probably wouldn't expect you to complain for having no hot water, right? Oh, and once there were no lights, the breakfast I paid for was also not served. This was what...

Staying in San Nicolas

Neighborhood Profile
San Nicolas
Immersed in the sound of honking horns and the footsteps of busy office workers, the Microcentro area of San Nicolás is where visitors will encounter the true hustle and bustle of Buenos Aires, walking down streets lined with office buildings and banks. The financial district is well-known for its vibrant atmosphere and unstoppable rhythm during office hours. After dark, the hubbub migrates to Corrientes Ave., where theater lovers might start their evening at a play and end it in one of the many traditional pizzerias nearby. During the day, Corrientes is known for its many bookshops and classic cafés, which are located just minutes away from some famous landmarks, like the Obelisco, Avenida 9 de Julio, and the Teatro Colon.
