I stayed there for 9 days, the first part of my stay was in a suite, two bedrooms, two bath, three flat screen TV's. The second part was on a small room as my family members left, the room was smaller but very comfortable. I liked that it was very clean. The location is amazing you are just close to... More

This hotel has been recently renovated, but is still being renovated. When I checked in at 5:30 pm on a Saturday night, the construction work was still going on. I asked them to stop and they did. Fortunately, they did not work on Sunday morning. My room on the 8th floor was beautiful. There was one flaw in the renovation.... More

About Enrique Diaz, from the desk of the Hotel. A very amazing person. He helped me so much because he speaks English and Portuguese. He suggested good places to visit. Always there when I needed him. I liked him very much!!

We stayed here for a week and were very glad we chose this hotel. It is centrally located for many sights and places of touristic value. Close by to the Retiro bus and train terminals and very close to the San Martin subte station ( metro). There are some very good restaurants in this neighbourhood ,many of whom I have... More

We stayed there for a week during our trip to Buenos Aires. First of all, the location is excellent, it's a couple of minutes walking to Plaza San Martin. From there you can walk to Florida street, or to Retiro Station. If you're OK with walking (15-30 minutes), you can walk to San Telmo, Puerto Madero, or Recoleto. The lobby... More

Great location, friendly staff, safe part of town. Clean and nice bathrooms. Decent breakfast. Wifi is not the best,(kept cutting out). I would recommend this as a place to stay for a business trip, other thing, (nothing to do with the hotel), all the really good resturaunts are not within walking distance, you will have to take a cab

We stayed two nights here after a terrible overnight flight from the UK. Check in was made easy and they gave us a room almost straight away, several hours before normal check in, so we could shower and catch up on sleep. Room was very clean with good furniture, very good shower but view only onto walls and a bit... More

The hotel was the best place I stayed in while having three separate accommodations in South America. Everything touristy was in walking distance, the room was very big and very clean. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and kind. Big shout out to Connie for all her help as she gave my girlfriend and I great ideas of places to... More

This hotel is in a great location for business or sightseeing. It is near Plaza San Martin and just steps away from Avenue Santa Fe. Walking distance to Florida and the touristy, shopping bits of Buenos Aires. The neighbourhood feels safe and friendly, too. The hotel is a bit better than adequate. The good: price was right; staff were friendly... More

I stayed here for two nights for a weekend in Buenos Aires. I loved the location, which is in a quiet area but close to both La Recoleta on one side and Florida and the center of town on the other side. There is much to see on foot. It is also close to the metro. The front desk staff... More

Staying in Retiro

Neighborhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighborhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
