The hotel is in a great location and service was very good, however, the carpet on the hallways smelled bad and the elevators are too small. There are no drawers or a place to put the suitcases in the rooms so we had to update for a suite.

This hotel is closed to Puerto Madero, Galerias Pacifico, Florida street, and a lot of good and reasonable priced restaurants. It is closed to the train station to go to Tigre. Unfortunately, at night some prostitutes are hanging next to the hotel but I did not feel threatened.. Room service was good. Receptionists very knowledgeable and cooperative. The breakfast was... WE stayed at the NH Florida overnight as our last night in Argentina. It was good to stay in a different part of the city to where we stayed when we first arrived. It was excellent for our purpose. It is close to the centre of the city but quiet and pleasant. THe staff were most obliging and efficient and... More

Perfect location! The staff was helpful. The buffet breakfast was good. The only problem was the elevator. It was really difficult to cach it in the mornings. The primary way to get down for the breakfast was via the emergency stairs / there were not normal stairs/.

We stayed with my wife for one night the room was excellent. The Hotel is a block away from Galerias Pacifico Mall so there is plenty to shop and eat. You can try many places in the food court but for a light meal nothing beats good old Starbucks. Go to the one on the second floor as its not... More

I’m really not sure where to start as far as this hotel is concerned. The staff is friendly, distracted but, friendly. After one in our group got mugged inside the hotel bar area, they seemed to put down the phones and step it up a bit. The hotel is old and it has central heating and cooling. The heat was... More

I stayed at this hotel four times in the last year. It is very centrally-located with clean and comfortable rooms. The buffet breakfast has a lot of choices of breads, pastries, fruits, cereals, cold cuts, scrambled eggs and bacon that were well-prepared and of high-quality. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful with my requests. Once I got an... More

We stayed here for the first few nights of our honeymoon and were generally pleased. The room was clean and fresh. Staff varied between some really helpful and friendly and some that seemed rather rude. I didnt like leaving the hotel at night as several homeless people and prostitutes seem to have permanent homes right outside the hotel but i... More

The Hotel was full, ok, however during the Breakfast in the morning, there was no staff to clean the tables, provide more stuffs like cups, knives, etc... We checked into this hotel on 28th December, 2015 for our overnight stay since we had a flight next day to El Calafate. Although quite a bit far from the International Airport, but still the fair bit of warmth the rooms provide you, make you feel relaxed after a long flight from home. The rooms were pretty big and very... More

Staying in Retiro

Neighborhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighborhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
