Bad experiencie overall. I must highlight the awful attention I received from the reception (counter) staff (2 young men). They received you with the worst attitude ever, almost as if they hated their job. Besides they didn't help you with tourism information. Wifi didn´t work in the rooms. And it was too noisy. The good things: the location and the...

The check in time is listed as 1500hrs but we arrived early at 0830 and were allowed to check in with no additional cost. The room was small but adequate with 2 single beds a/c, fan and places to plug in phone chargers etc. The breakfast was very good with a buffet including scrambled eggs and ham with the ever...

An hotel located at the center of the city, near to Florida street and San Martin Park, breakfast was good. The bedroom was small, the "king size" bed was two individual beds join together by a blanket, the view from the room was pieces of wood nailed to the wall, the shower was small, the wardrobe was broken. I think...

Stayed here one night after arriving late at night in Buenos Aires and catching a morning flight the next day. Then again after arriving from Ushuaia and catching a flight the next day for Doha. Pros: Good location and neighbourhood. The distance from EZE airport and J.Newbery is almost same (the second being closure). Which is much required for me...

The location is great. The rooms are rather poorly equipped (no easy way to charge your electronics) but they do have a very good shower. Avoid rooms facing the back of Palacio Paz, where currently a very noisy construction is taking place every day between 7AM and 5PM. The breakfast is good for one day, but if you stay there...

The location is great for a sightseeing trip. The room was not very luxurious, but it was comfortable and it was just fine for one night stay. Breakfast buffet was ok. It was great that we were able to get the early check in (at 12 instead of 15 for free) and the late check out ( for extra payment/...

Located at the centre of the city and within walkable distance to some interesting places. Good breakfast. Wifi reasonably good. Service satisfactory. My room had no window. Fans and AC coexist along with room heater.

Staf was very correct during my stay at the hotel. However, the hotel suffers clearly from a investment/ renovation backlog. The hotel structure is basically old and misses some comfort of modern hotels. I could not close my window, bathroom ceiling was completely worn down. My airconditioning/ heating did nit work properly. Last -but not least, the room was very...

This is a good economical hotel to stay in if you want to be near to Recoleta. Staff are friendly and helpful, breakfast is good, the rooms are okay and beds are comfortable. Lacks real hotel facilities and extras and needs an electrical refit. So if you are on a budget it is great, if not go slightly upmarket.

Reception staff at this hotel very helpful booking tours and offering advice. Breakfast buffet satisfactory and free wifi in the rooms. The hotel is situated on a side street, close to the metro. Rooms adequate not fancy or large. Good value for the price.

Staying in Retiro

Neighborhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighborhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
