Very good hotel within one block of the main drag. Rooms were quite nice and very clean. Had a view out our window which could be opened, to let in the fresh air. Very friendly staff and a good set up for our touring group. Bar coped, but would have been better if they had a till, instead of having...

Lovely updated rooms with hardwood floors, comfortable bed. Bright and airy. Large modern lobby with high ceilings and great ambience. Very delicious breakfast with fresh fruit, cheeses, meats, different pastries, etc. Staff very friendly, professional and English is very good. Made some good recommendations for restaurants, shows, etc. Had a very pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel to my...

The rooms were clean and provided all the basics, free Wifi, TV. Breakfast was good and the staff were friendly and English speaking. The hotel is in a great location for the train station, bus station and the shuttle bus station to EZE airport. All in all a pleasant experience.

Dear NorthArrow, thanks a lot for you review, We understand and we agreed with you, it is a bit uncomfortable to get a new code for Internet but thats the only way, we have at the moment to give a great service. Its a matter of security, the internet company is working on that issue. We will be working on...

We traveled with two kids, ages 14 and 11, and room had great set up with one king bed and two twins. Breakfast buffet (included) was decent with a variety of cold and hot items. Location is easy walking distance to Plaza de Mayo and Plaza San Martin/Calle Florida. Good restaurants (Broccolino and la Chacra) nearby. Whatever you do in...

We started our trip in Buenos Aires for a day and a half and stayed at El Conquistador. The hotel was located close to a lot of the things we wanted to see on our first day, so it gave my friends and I a great start to our Argentinian adventure. The staff was very helpful (and gave a great...

The basics for us: a good bed, good reading light, good shower, cleanliness, free and working wi-fi, and adequate breakfast--and this place scores high on all those points. And quiet, I forgot to mention that. There is a small minus to the wi-fi: you need to obtain a fresh password every other day, on paper from the front desk, and...

I just stayed three nights at this hotel and besides the fact that it has a great location and a nice room, nothing else attract me there. Good location on quiet street. Number of good restaurants close by. Very quiet. Front desk staff was very helpful when LAN changed my flight and made sure I had a car to transport me to AEP at 3 AM. Therefore , was not able to sample their breakfast or other ammenities. Quiet, clean room. Small elevators.

Staying in Retiro

Neighborhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighborhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
