Nice location, room clean and accommodating. Buffet good for the price of stay. Near a grocery store about 2 blocks away and some nice restaurants. Trade your dollars at nearby restaurant at corner, (forgot name), but they trade top dollars to Pesos and within close proximity to hotel. Only reason I did not give 5 stars is the night Housekeeper...

I stayed here as part of a tour of South America for 3 nights. It was OK but the breakfast was disappointing in terms of what was offered, the service and the serving area. It's served in the bar area and was over crowded. It wasn't helped by slow clearing of tables. The room & bathroom were fine with a...

The first impression of the hotel was marred by the very off hand of the front desk person. No interest in us as customers. The room was old, pillows very average and bathroom small. The breakfast was shocking especially after staying at other places in comparisons that we experienced travelling in Argentina & Uraguay. Location 10 minute walk to Opera...

The hotel is located in the ' centro ' of Buenos Aires, close to many little shops, in walking distance from the theatre district. Other from the location and a reasonable service, there is not much to recommend. The establishment is ill maintained and doesn't offer much. The walls of the room were stained, the bathroom was clean but weary, very...

Hotel is old but very clean, we enjoyed to stay there. A bit disappointed with breakfast lukewarm scrambled egg and frankfurt but one morning we have hot breakfast! No Bacon? almost same food every day. Otherwise everything was excellent. Service from counter and bed service was very good, too.

The rooms were very average. Looked like blood on the carpet which had not been removed properly. The buffet breakfast was very slim pickings - the cakes and pastries tasted like they were a couple of days old and the cereals were also stale. Only a very small area for breakfast so you may have to wait for a table....

Our room was pretty small but had adequate storage room. Bed was very comfortable. Aircon was difficult to control, making the room feel damp. Carpet has suffered through damp and needs replacing. The breakfast was very disappointing, very little choice, all bread and pastries dry and stale. Yoghurt had mould when opened Bar area/ restaurant has no atmosphere( and very...

Front desk will not make a local call on our behalf, even when we offered to pay for their time. Charges double the taxi rate to airport, when asked why you do not have 1 single English language tv channel? "told us "what you see is what you get". yet on the channels list in the hotel room, they have...

We stayed in this hotel as a part of a small tour group. It is situated in a very nice part of Buenos Aires. The check in was speedy and the staff are very pleasant. This is a small boutique hotel that has all the features of the larger places. It's main feature is location...Great area.Worth a try.

This hotel in Recoleta is within walking distance of many of the sights you will want to see in Buenos Aires including the Recoleta Cemetery and Teatro Colon. Reserve this online to get this best price. I paid $56-62 per night. The first price for 3 days, then I left for Iguazu Falls, the second price for 3 days when...

Staying in Retiro

Neighborhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighborhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
