I feel home each time I travel to Buenos Aires. The same personal welcomes you each trip. Over the year you have the same people working there and this for me is important and talks very well for the hotel. Maybe this building is not massive but feels good. The rooms are really big and you feel comfortable.I can see the...

Check in was easy and they have a generous check out time of noon. The room was very large with a kitchenette , a dining area, a writing table, large bed, balcony, and still more space left. It smelled of paint, suggesting recent renovations, but still had vestiges of its dated history, such as peeling laminate floors and fluorescent lights,...

We were upgraded to an executive suite for my birthday and suprised with champagne and chocolate cake by the wonderful staff 😊. The hotel also arranged for us to see a live tango show which was brilliant to say the least!! I had the best birthday!! The breakfast was a bit disappointing, however; there was a good variety of options....

I loved the room. My colleague in Buenos Aires set up the reservation so I am not sure if all the rooms are the same. I really enjoyed the swimming pool on the roof overlooking the city. The staff was also very friendly and helpful.

Excellent hotel. Extremely courteous staff. Rooms are large clean and airy. Bathroom a little cramped but clean and had all required amenities. Dining room food is ok. Nothing special but affordable prices. Excellent location.

This was a very short overnight stay when we were travelling between cities. Got a great deal but primarily it was booked for its location to the bus station due to our bus down south the following day. My expectations were very low but I was fine with that given I was only going to be there for 9 hours....

Although this hotel is well located, hotel is old and beginning to suffer. Rooms ok, dissapointing breakfast and uncomfortable gym. Staff at the front desk quite cold, please someone teach them how to smile

This hotel is incredibly well located. In a few minutes you can walk to Recova, where there are great restaurants under an overpass... three blocks further, you arrive at the upscale mall, Patio Bulrich. Another five minutes walk and you are in Recoleta. If you head out the other way, in two blocks you hit Plaza San Martin, then another...

Hotel is very well located, appears little outdated, but rooms are very big ! Breakfast is good and service personnel are very kind. Wi-Fi quality can improve. Overall is a very good hotel for price charged.

Stayed here for several days while giving lectures in Buenos Aires. The hotel staff is very friendly and accomodating. Breakfast is included, but is nothing special. The room is a bit outdated with respect to the furniture, but the place is very comfortable. The bed is very good. The staff allowed us to stay later for a late afternoon departure...

Staying in Retiro

Neighborhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighborhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
