Went on business conference there. The room was ok but nothing special. I only stayed one night so I can not say too much about the service....except on Internet. When I checked in, I was asked how many devices I have. When I reached my room, it didn't really worked out...then I found I needed some voucher which they didnt...

Easy walking distance to city center. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. If we return to Buenos Aires we will probably stay at this hotel again. The value for the price of the room was well worth it.

Good hotel in the right district. Room was acceptable and the breakfasts first rate. We didn't have dinner here as we were recommended to La Nazarenes just down the road. The only reason we don't give the Melia a 5 start rating is that we asked for both our doonas (douvets) to be replaced with a blanket as it was...

Straightforward big box hotel with the service that goes along with it. Not very helpful and friendly reception staff. Well located in the Retiro district. Rooms comfortable and what you would expect from a big box hotel. Breakfast OK. I would probably opt for a room at the back at the hotel because a lot of noise in the front....

I booked this room last minute and got a great deal. I included breakfast but did not have the opportunity to enjoy it on my first morning due to a trip planned by buquebus to Montevideo. I thought the location speaks for itself. The staff was excellent. The room greatly appointed (superior room) and the bed comfy. There is a...

It's comfort , the room was nice and the service room food was delicious, but they need to improve the breakfast buffet because they serve the same thing every day. The hotel has a good location very close to Puerto madero, and historical places

Located in the central walking part of Buenos Aires, the hotel is very comfortably placed. Lots of restaurants and bars in the near by vicinity. Staff - very professional and nice. Rooms were the typical type with nice amenities and above average decent size. Had problems with Wi-Fi on my laptop on the first night and apparently the internet (dns)...

Dear Mr Tushar: I am really sorry to read that you experience some problems with the WI FI during your stay. There was a poblem with our Internet provider that took a few days. Hotel is well located, near to shopping mall and not far away from Puerto Madero. Service is very good - sometimes reception gets a little crowdy, but no big deal. The pool is pleasant (not a big pool, but ok) and the gym is ok. Excelent cost/benefit.

Stayed at this hotel for about two weeks on my last business trip. My business partners chose this hotel for its good location. Centrally located in Buenos Aires with many restaurants and pubs in its vicinity and also closed to Florida Street. Hotel rate is reasonable. Good reception services at Reception Counter and Bell boy services. Staff welcome you with...

The hotel is located along a very lively street during the evening. There are plenty of restaurants and bars along the street. The value for the stay was pretty good and the size of the room was great. It's close to Puerto Madero, granted it's a 3-4 block walk. The plus here is that it is a well transited street...

Staying in Retiro

Neighborhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighborhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
