Located in the central walking part of Buenos Aires, the hotel is very comfortably placed. Lots of restaurants and bars in the near by vicinity. Staff - very professional and nice. Rooms were the typical type with nice amenities and above average decent size. Had problems with Wi-Fi on my laptop on the first night and apparently the internet (dns)... More

Hotel is well located, near to shopping mall and not far away from Puerto Madero. Service is very good - sometimes reception gets a little crowdy, but no big deal. The pool is pleasant (not a big pool, but ok) and the gym is ok. Excelent cost/benefit.

Stayed at this hotel for about two weeks on my last business trip. My business partners chose this hotel for its good location. Centrally located in Buenos Aires with many restaurants and pubs in its vicinity and also closed to Florida Street. Hotel rate is reasonable. Good reception services at Reception Counter and Bell boy services. Staff welcome you with... More

The hotel is located along a very lively street during the evening. There are plenty of restaurants and bars along the street. The value for the stay was pretty good and the size of the room was great. It's close to Puerto Madero, granted it's a 3-4 block walk. The plus here is that it is a well transited street... More

This is a well located hotel near most of the attractions with an average breakfast included and a good a la carte restaurante. In fact I ate a fantastic peace of meat for lunch (ojo de beef). There is a gym which suits those who cannot live without working out. The rooms are silent and confit. Shower also fine.

Very spacious rooms although a little tired. Our group had to leave very early in the morning and management was able to arrange an early simple continental breakfast for us. It is very central and we could walk to shops.

The Melia is my favorite hotel in Buenos Aires. The staff is excellent and the rooms are very nice. Breakfasts are good and worth the extra money. Argentina is know for its red meat and wine. There are plenty of very nice restaurants within a short walk of the hotel. Just don't expect the hotel to provide a reasonable evening... More

Great overall hotel experience. Location is excellent to all major points of interest. The hotel is in a walkable area with many restaurants and shops. Friendly professional staff from top to bottom. Staying in Retiro

Neighborhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighborhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
