Location is fantastic -- I was worried after reading reviews of it being next to the highway. Yes, the highway circling the city is right there BUT it wasn't really an issue at the hotel. I saw it as a perk for getting in and out of the city much more easily. Plus there are LOTS of fantastic restaurants and... More

Great experience . Hotel was lovely. Only complaint is that hotel guests had a hard time sitting and relaxing and having a drink after shopping because nothing was open yet. Also after dinner it was hard because pony line was crowded and had to wait on a table. Would love it if hotel had a small lounge area where guests... More

I was pleasantly surprise by the attentiveness of the staff. Even before arriving they sent me an email telling me that my room was ready . I asked for a late check out and the were very accommodating. I took a regular room on the sixth floor and it was extremely spacious, clean , with incredible bedding. I did not... More

Housekeeping staff removed my extra room key on two separate occasions, without asking. They removed a corkscrew I had requested, without asking. They declined to wash a shirt I had requested laundered because it had a small hole, and I wasn't there to give them permission. Restaurant staff removed my dish before I had finished all that I had wanted... More

This was my second time staying at this property. Got upgraded to a suite, which was absolutely incredible. I also forgot my iPad and someone from the hotel drove over 20 miles to return it. It was completely unexpected, yet they made this feel like it was an ordinary thing. If I was in any other hotel, the iPad would... More

The room was very comfortable, a lot of space in the bathroom and really good bed. Really friendly staff and great location. You can just walk down 9 de julio to get to central BA or walk left out of the hotel towards recoleta. Highly recommend

I stayed multiple times over the course of the last 3 times and enjoyed my stay every single time. Rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. I stayed at other hotels in Buenos Aires (when the Four Seasons was sold out) and was very disappointed in the other hotels since my point of comparison was the Four Seasons.

Staying in Retiro

Neighborhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighborhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
