We stayed in the penthouse and it was very nice. The price was great and was an upgrade by the very accommodating front desk staff. They were very friendly and helpful. Evan was professional and made our stay even better. Thank you to all! Keep in mind - there is a small - only 3 people per elevator :). We... More

The best part of this hotel was the desk staff. They were pleasant and friendly.. After that, everything was downhill. The bedroom was ample. But the bathroom was not. The decor needs a serious uplift. The elevators were tiny any rarely worked well; I usually took the steps. They breakfast area was so small that it could not accommodate all... More

Visited last weekend. First front desk requested extra charge for early arrival. First time it happens to me. Breakfast is poor quality, scrambled eggs with hot dog was discusting. Croissants chewy. Room requested for two, had large bed and small bed., plus style coach. Frankly do not understand the concept or style. Location is excellent for Baires. Bed sheets presented... More

Hotel location is great, rates are ok if you expect to stay in a standard hotel in Recoleta. Front desk staff is friendly, rooms are spacious but beds are terrible, update needed. Breakfast is served for free, regular one with basics options. Park Plaza is a good option if you are looking for a cheap hotel in Recoleta.

I had two serious incidents while the chek in: 1. As a safety deposit the guy at the counter wanted me to sign a paper with all my credit card information, including the CVV code. I let him know that i wasn't doing that because anybody could get that paper and make internet purchases or other kind of fraud. The... More

Friedlly staff, as usual, in the heart of Recoleta . Good stores and fantastic restaurants, are just two steps away. Walk around the "barrio" streets and you will see how the upper class porteños live.

This is by far the worst hotel we ever stayed. The hotel looks like it was once the best but not anymore. If you are looking for comfort and luxury this is not the hotel to book. I booked this hotel via Booking.com where I found a super deal for the room and left a great review there, as generally it was good experience - clean, but basic rooms (bathroom in our room needed maintenance though) friendly staff, good breakfast (in Argentina's standards) all for €48/night including VAT & breakfast for 3 persons. As it was the... More

I stayed in this hotel back in June, 2007, for one week and loved it. I decided to stay at this hotel again in May, 2015, and I have no words to describe what a terrible mistake this was. I booked this hotel, through a very reputable online travel agency. When I arrived to the hotel, they refused, my confirmation,... More

Staying in Retiro

Neighborhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighborhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
