Unfortunately we could only stay for one night, but the Savoy is a place I would definitey return to if ever in Buenos Aires again. A beautiful historic building, spacious, well appointed rooms and bathrooms, fabulos and very helpful staff and a very generous breakfast buffet - you can even have Champagne if you are so inclined. We loved it!

We stayed there for 4 nights after an Antarctic trip. Fantastic historical hotel, great architecture and decor with modern rooms. Very helpful and friendly staff. Great central location. Great value for the money.

We found this hotel on the web. Quite often, the hotel pictures have been doctored to make the hotel look more appealing. This hotel was just breathtaking! What a pleasure to find something so beautiful in the midst of a large city!

Very comfortable and clean with good access to quay area and local sights of interest. Expensive drinks and in room items but from expedia price an outstanding hotel for value for quality. I thought the staff were courteous and friendly and the colonial style of the hotel makes it really special.

We had a two night stop over between two long haul flights from Mexico to Auckland. 15-17 January. We arrived at midnight and were surprised at the rudeness of the night manager. He was impatient and unhelpful - welcome to Argentina! The next day one of us had a small medical issue requiring a doctor. The daytime manager - Santiago... More

Ask to see the room before you commit to it. Hotel in a commercial part of town, not so nice. Walking distance to the obelique and other government office. Not sure about security since the gate to the hotel is closed early every night. Not an ideal situation

We spent 4 days at this delightful hotel conveniently located close to the Congresso. The hotel is stunning, the rooms whilst on the small side are spotlessly clean and well equipped. The hotel staff are friendly and professional, breakfast is plentiful with a good selection of hot and cold foods. It was my partner's 50th birthday during our stay, we... More

The hotel is in a great location in the downtown area. We loved the room and the amenities. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful until the last day when we needed a taxi to go to the airport. It was new year's eve and we had not booked a taxi as till then taxis were easily available. The hotel... More

This is an excellent hotel...and in a great location...We stayed for 5 nights and would stay there again and highly recommend it to others...I'm a flight attendant so I've stayed in many hotels and I rate this one as an overall winner...the staff at reception, the restaurant, the finance department, the front door concierge, the bar and cleaning are all... Stayed here for 2 nights. The decor around the hotel is very nice . However, the rooms themselves are barely ok (AC doesn't work well and it was 27c, rooms smelt bad when we arrived, other people I was with said they found blood stains on their bed sheets, etc..) The biggest issues are the prices of the drinks and... More

Staying in San Nicolas

Neighborhood Profile
San Nicolas
Immersed in the sound of honking horns and the footsteps of busy office workers, the Microcentro area of San Nicolás is where visitors will encounter the true hustle and bustle of Buenos Aires, walking down streets lined with office buildings and banks. The financial district is well-known for its vibrant atmosphere and unstoppable rhythm during office hours. After dark, the hubbub migrates to Corrientes Ave., where theater lovers might start their evening at a play and end it in one of the many traditional pizzerias nearby. During the day, Corrientes is known for its many bookshops and classic cafés, which are located just minutes away from some famous landmarks, like the Obelisco, Avenida 9 de Julio, and the Teatro Colon.
