Wonderful hotel in the heart of Buenos Aires. The rooms are very comfortable and immaculate. The lobby bar/restaurant is excellent as is the daily morning breakfast. The staff is extremely helpful and treated us like family. We have stayed at the Savoy many times and have always been pleased.
Savoy hotel in Buenos Aires is a charming place to stay. Positive points: -The architecture is amazing, -the central location, -Very comfortable rooms, -The hotel lent me a SUBE card, which I couldn't find to buy at Sube stations and Kioskos, -Very good breakfast, -Nice staff. Negative points: -There was a water leak in the bathroom. I had to complain more than 1 time to fix. -At the gym there are 2 treadmills that are broken. They were not fixed during my stay, which was 5 days. Overall, I would rate 4 stars.
Cons: Stained sheets, missing towel and dirty floor, even after room cleaning. This was the room. The staff were not helping at all with our questions. We asked about massage, and 1,5 hours later we got the message that it was fully booked. This was time we could have used for other activities. The reception did not exchange any money, and we had to pay in official rate, not the blue rate that was given other places, and that other hotels exchanged. This information was given to us by a guide. Long wait for check-in. Feels like they trust their name, instead of providing good service. Pros Great shower pressure
Had a wonderful stay there this passed weekend. First off, it is truly a beautiful hotel that looks like it came right out of the 50’s. The place is very well kept, and the clientele was both friendly and helpful. Enough English was spoken there that there was never as issue. The morning buffer which I believe is served from 8-11 had enough choices to keep anyone happy. The croissants were fabulous! The location is very good, both walking distance to popular spots and also has a convenient subway stop very close by. Taxis are quite cheap in BA and easy to catch in the area. I really have nothing bad to say, well, there were no English channels on the tv, but I wasn’t there for tv. If I ever come back I will surely stay there again.
We were on our honeymoon and ordered one of the better rooms, and when we checked in we got a small family room with lots of small beds and one small window to the back yard. When we notified the personnel we didn’t get an apology and got another similar room. We asked if there were any other nicer rooms, and the answer we got was to get one of the suites by paying 40 usd more. I would not recommend staying at this hotel.
My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights. The location was central (close to the national parliament) and at proximity to major streets. The foyer and dining room were stunning. The room was of a perfect size for a couple and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing. This was a very good price point for what you get. We would go back in a heartbeat.
Rooms: absolutely dirty; unexplainable green goo on the ceiling next to the wall; the lamp was constantly flickering; the walls were totally dirty; the bathroom was full of long dark hair; no cleaning service after 2 p.m.; a lot of dust on the dark furniture. The mini bar was not used by us; they simply added 4 bottles of beer to our bill without any reason or explanation. The receptionists are super unfriendly and not helpful, especially Mr. Ricardo and Mrs. Herrera. The Wi-Fi in the room is not stable. Breakfast is very simple and every day is the same. They don't even try to change the menu. Be careful with the exchange rate, especially when you pay cash. They change the rate every second day, which means at the end you pay more as arranged by booking.com. We cannot recommend this hotel to anyone, and we really regret that we spent our money on a zero-quality hotel like Savoy Buenos Aires.…
We stayed there for six days. The hotel is centrally located. You can walk to most places. We had such a great stay at Savoy. We were sad to leave. The staff went above and beyond each day and exceeded our expectations. It was wonderful. They were out of most mix drinks but have a great selection of wine. We are so thankful to all the staff there. We really enjoyed our time and would definitely recommend them and stay there again.
My family and I stayed in this hotel for 7 days. We loved the location; it's close to the main touristic places like Calle Corrientes, Casa Rosada, Teatro Colon, and more. The building is gorgeous. The staff was professional, kind and very helpful. The breakfast buffet was perfect.
This is a classic and classy hotel. And it’s in a great neighbourhood. The historic furnishings and architecture are well maintained and beautiful. The poster size period photos in the hallways are worth a pause. It seems to be a favourite hotel for soccer teams. Which really adds a bit of local colour. (They are very well disciplined and great to look at :-) Avenida Callao is a great street with restaurants and cafés proliferating. Very safe: many cops on foot at all hours.
