The Savoy Hotel's atmosphere is widely celebrated for its enchanting charm and decor, offering guests a regal experience with its aesthetically pleasing and spacious areas. While the location earns high marks for its convenience to local attractions and overall safety, opinions on the hotel's value and room quality vary, with some travelers finding it reasonable and others not justifying the cost. Service quality also receives mixed feedback; many guests report encounters with friendly and helpful staff, yet some point out instances of inefficiency. Amenities generally impress, especially the diverse breakfast offerings and elegant common spaces, though a few guests mention Wi-Fi and noise issues. We stayed at the Savoy Hotel for two nights - the staff were friendly, spoke English on the front desk and our room was very modern and refurbished. Sleep quality was excellent, the breakfast was a buffet style which was perfectly adequate for a short stay. We ate (by choice), a couple of times in the dining room and were served hot and tasty food, a decent coffee bean too. The attractive and historic dining room seems to be a place where local business people also go to eat and meet up, so there was always a good atmosphere and ambience.

The hotel staff easily organised a half day city tour for us - the hotel is in a central area, with easy flat walking to many of the squares and main shopping roads. There are cafes, restaurants and supermarkets located very nearby to the hotel - the taxi cost is very reasonable in BA and there was always an endless stream of black and yellow taxi cabs driving by the hotel.

We would recommend and book again.

The hotel was very beautiful, like stepping back in time with its magnificent interior.
The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful.
The room was massive, the bed was huge and very comfortable.
The water pressure for the shower was fantastic and the towels were super soft (really luxurious)
The hotel and rooms were kept very clean.
Once we got the wifi working (with assistance from the front desk) it was really good and the fastest we had during our trip.
The hotel is in a really good location right near the centre of BA with plenty of transport links and taxis right near the hotel.
There are plenty of places to eat near by.
We loved the lifts with big huge pictures of Eva Perón and Albert Einstein inside.
It was really interesting walking up and down the magnificent staircase looking at all the different floors each with their own design and seeing the pictures of all the famous people who have stayed at the hotel over time.

The drain in the bathroom had a really bad smell. Although the maid tried to mask the smell each day with air freshener it didn’t work. The hotel really need to sort this out.
The breakfast was poor, for the price we paid we would have expected a lot more choice and more freshly cooked food. The coffee was awful, watered down with no flavour at all and as there was no kettle in the room to make our own we were stuck with drinking the poor quality coffee

The hotel was located in an accessable position not far from two metro stations and a bus stop. Luckily there was double glazing as we had a room facing the busy main street. It was clean with reasonable space in each room, airconditioning, a safe and refridgerator.

The staff could speak English well and were helpful. The sent us to an excellent restaurant not far away which was a little pricey but delicious and provided us with a free glass of champagne on presentation of our hotel voucher.

A good breakfast was included but unfortunately the morning we were leaving on our 5am flight there was no option to have an early tray either the night before or the morning of our departure.

Large bed was a little lumpy but bearable.

The worst thing was that the wall separating the guest rooms was not soundproofed at all and the adjoining room"s noise created by the occupants and television woke us at 4.30am.

The first thing I would say about this hotel, is to not think of it in the same way you might think of the Savoy in London. This is not the same hotel chain. It is only just the name.

The hotel itself is centrally located in Buenos Aires and everything in on your door step and easily accessible by walking.

Inside the main public areas are nicely presented welcoming, especially the bar and restaurant area which dates back to the early 20th century. Looking closely at the decor, I really feel the hotel needs a little TLC. The carpets on the stairs are almost threadbare and the wallpaper and paint need a touch up.

Once in the room you have the use of mini bar, safe, climate control, and thats mainly it (well for the room I was in anyway) there was no view at all. Just the brick wall of the building opposite, but this didn't damped my stay as I was only in the room to sleep. In my opinion, the bar and restaurant area give the hotel a very grand feel, however the rooms left me disappointed.

The hotel was great for what I needed it for, a base while I was working in the city, but I must admit I don't think I would stay there again. I arrived with high hopes, and left feeling underwhelemd

One thing I would point out, is that the hotel does not offer 24 hour room service. I work in events and came back to my room at 23:15 and requested room service to be told the kitchen closes at 23:00. After speaking with a manager, they agreed to send a snack to my room. Although some people don't want to eat that late, for others, like me, I had no choice. Just thought I'd point this out so you don't have the same issue.

We arrived very early in the morning, around 9.00am and were able to check within about 45 minutes, which was very much appreciated. Ricardo at the front desk was very helpful. Our room # 508, was facing the road and had a tiny balcony. The room was clean and modern, but rather small. We had to push to bed over in order to open the balcony door and push it the other way in order to open the closet. The bathroom was huge and had all the amenities one could want. The bathtub enclosure (to transform it into a shower) was not very well designed and it left the bathroom floor totally wet. The lights and AC only work when the key is inserted into a 'reader', which means that when one is out of the room the AC does not work, which made our west facing room very warm and it took quite a while to cool down a bit.
The hotel is in a beautiful old building, has a breakfast buffet included in the price and the breakfast room turns in a restaurant for lunch and dinner. There is also a very nice bar.
We enjoyed the location, felt safe and would stay again.

The hotel is a comfortable 4 star, the decor is beautiful, and breakfasts good with a wide choice. We didn't eat here in the evening. The room was fine with a comfortable bed, minbar, desk etc. If you can persuade them to give you a room with a view and are staying more than one night that would be a good idea, as on both occasions our rooms looked out onto a central well that was shabby and unattractive. We wondered why the curtains were drawn when we went in!

I would recommend this hotel as a good value four star if you are just wanting a bed before or after a cruise, the staff are really helpful, and that counts for a lot. Wifi is slow, you will be lucky to get 5mps, depends whether this is vital to you.

There is a handy supermarket, and it is not far to the nearest metro station.

But I would happily stay here again, although I would plead for a view!

Stay here. It’s worth it. Grab the corner suite and don’t look back.

For an experience like this in another country could could easily pay a grand or more per night, with a massive room, beautiful plastered ceilings, a beautiful, quiet piece of 20th century luxury in the heart of BA.

The architectural details in this hotel from the high ceilings to the finishes are spectacular and the service was top notch. This is as nice a hotel as I’ve stayed in and I’ve travelled extensively.
I suggested a scent to help the hotel smell as great as it looks and the cleanliness could have been improved in the room.
Also a great location to start a walk along a nice boulevard past many of the sights you’d want to see.
Considering how well maintained and this place was and the service I believe these small things can be corrected and highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed for 5 nights. The hotel is charismatic. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. The beds are very comfortable. The shower has good pressure and hot water always available. The restaurant, bar and bar food excellent. Waiting staff very friendly. Printer in Business section needs updating to WiFi enabled.

We stayed here on vacation post cruise. It is a very old hotel but it seems to have been updated fairly recently. Front desk staff was friendly but most times just one person. English speaking. The bar and restaurant area was nice. The breakfast buffet was a bit limited in items offered and hot items like eggs frequently ran out with no immediate replacement. Parts of the hotel on upper floors seemed very hot and possibly unused. Section of Buenos Aires was busy but seemed safe enough to walk around.

It is in the area with all of the theatres, so lots of people out and about. As a single female, I found it really safe to walk in the area and the hotel staff will get taxis for you.
