Slightly old fassion hotel in the centre of Buenos Aires. I really enjoyed it. Perfect rooms. Clean and big. Nice beds. The bar is slightly boring. Very nice staff at the desk. They spoke quite good English. The internet connection was little to slow and they kicked you out very often. Very close to everything you want to do in BA.

The hotel is gorgeous and the staff are friendly, accommodating and responsive. The front desk was quick to respond to my messages within the app and allowed us to check in early (as our flight arrived early morning and we were exhausted). Florencia in the concierge lounge was especially helpful with making recommendations on what do to/see and helping us make reservations for dinner, tango shows, etc. She really made us feel welcome and taken care of! The food and wine at happy hour was also really impressive. The hotel is centrally located so it was easy to access all areas of the city. We got upgraded to a deluxe room which was very spacious and luxurious. We’re looking forward to staying again!

We stayed here prior to boarding a cruise and as a result of a flight delay. The hotel had only been open a few days post shutdown due to COVID so the hotel was probably still getting back into routine. While our room was quiet and our bed very comfortable, the room really needed some new furniture to replace the beat up, scratched pieces. The public areas, while obviously very old, were beautiful with lots of carved wood decorating the walls and stairs. The dining had been moved to a small ballroom. The breakfast buffet was roped off as a COVID precaution and a server was always present. As this was a last minute and unplanned stay, we had our travel agent make the booking for us. She quoted us a price of $125 per room. I checked it on Expedia a short time later and it showed $89. It pays to do your homework!

We stayed here 3 nights, split 1 and 2. This Marriott is within 2 blocks from the Obilisk on the Main Street. Great location for walking to restaurants, tango shows, markets and Plazas. As a Platinum, I was upgraded rooms, provided 4 pm check-out, access to lounge on 2nd floor, free breakfast buffet, and had high-speed internet. The only downside is the hotel is an old building, therefore the walls are rather thin. A room with a great view may also have traffic noise. In addition, Maria arranged for an Antigen COVID test, in room, so we could fly back to US easily. In addition to Maria, Florenzia, at the front desk was very helpful. Breakfast buffet was very nice and well organized for safety.

During our most recent visit to Buenos Aires, my wife and I again stayed at Hotel Panamericano. The last time we stayed was in 2017 when it was running with a full staff and fully operational hotel. During our most recent stay in February 2020, the hotel was undergoing renovations. Despite that I found the staff to be very welcoming and helpful and the accommodations to be adequate. However, much of the hotel is closed off for renovations, including the lower level restaurant/breakfast area and some of the conference rooms. In addition, both of the rooms that we stayed in, room number 1528 for two nights and room 1427 for one night, while overall comfortable, need updating, particularly in their respective bathrooms. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the stay and appreciated the posted signs noting the renovations and apologizing for the inconveniences. I look forward to returning to the Panamericano after the renovations are complete and the hotel is restored to its world class elegance.
