I hold marriott membership with gold elite status and was given a tiny old room over looking city view with old dilapitated moldy buildings. The bathroom had only one sink and very little room to place personal items. There was very little room to open two suitcases even on the floor. This is my second disappointment with Marriott, after Bilbao Marriott within the last 12 months

This hotel represents the best of Marriott. Superb service, clean rooms, excellent facilities, and more. Aged but regal hotel properly cared for and remodeled over time. Walking distance to 80% of sites and experiences for being a tourist in BA. Just a quick 3-5 minute walk to a Hop-On/Off Bus Stop (if that's your thing) and 1-2 minutes to the underground transportation system) and staff is helpful with advice and directions. This hotel is on the MAIN street of BA, just a block from the walking route and the counterpoint of most activities (a national historic monument and icon of BA in the Plaza de la República in the intersection of avenues Corrientes and 9 de Julio). Good dining options. Breakfast is a typical Marriott buffet with table-side orders/options, and some local ARG items added in. Coffee machines are handy, easy to operate, and yield tasty options. Wine, wine, WINE at serval locations within hotel are fantastic. In this area, you cannot go wrong. Local bartenders are helpful to get you to good wine bottles are reasonable prices -- EVEN at a Marriot! All considered... you cannot go wrong with this facility.

Very comfortable and accommodating. This hotel is in a great location for sightseeing and is easy for Ubers and taxis to access. The breakfast was nice and had a good variety of foods, including some classic Argentinian items such as alfajores and medialunas.

On the way to Antartika cruise , we stayed here for two days. Property is good but hospitality is missing. They provided two water bottles on the first day and on second day it was not provided. On request, we were told that water is provided on first day only and then it is charged. It was illogical but they said it is the their norm. For vegetarins, not much choice.

The ground floor of this building is beautiful, and the breakfast is amazing. I found the service staff amazing, friendly, and very helpful. Management, however, is a different story. My mother and I checked into our room to find a bed for two people. We contacted the front desk to advise them that we booked a room with two beds, but got a room with one bed for two people. The reception staff were great. They asked us to use the bed for the evening, and the bed situation would be resolved the next day. This turned into a nightmare with management changing stories every day as to why it was impossible to provide a room with two beds. It really made a four night stay a lot more stressful than it needed to be. If the rooms were as nice as the reception area, and if management could have supplied a room as booked I would have given the Hotel a 5 star rating.

This was a good place to stay in the heart of the city, across the street from Teatro Colon. The good: -Friendly and helpful front desk staff. -Spacious room with separate area for desk and both a shower and bathtub. -Fabulous pool and rooftop area on the 23rd floor. A great place to hang out and view the city by day or night. -Central location. The less good: -Our room, 1107, had a mattress with a large sag on one side, and a toilet that ran on endlessly. -The hotel restaurant hit the unfortunate trifecta of slow service, bad food, and high prices. We only went once. -While the central location is convenient, the city is also very busy, loud and dirty right out the door. If you want a more peaceful experience, choose a neighborhood like Recoleta or Palermo.

This was the first time for us in Buenos Aires and this hotel could not have worked better. The location is ideal for walking, taking tours, shopping, restaurants, and watching the activities around the city. The hotel is older but wonderfully designed and cared for, which adds to a lovely ambiance in the hotel. We loved our room which looked over the city including the Teatro Colon. The service was excellent. This is the hotel we would choose again and are so glad we did this time! The rooftop hotel and exercise room are absolutely beautiful. Choosing this hotel added to our wonderful memories of the City!

We spent a few days here as our home base for a few days in BA. It's in a good location and you can walk a lot of places from there. Ride share apps were easy and cheap, so even if you decide to use those (vs Walking), you're totally fine. We walked back here from La Boca and also got to the rest of the city from there. I spent a bit of time every day checking in with Rocio and Joel. Joel was especially helpful every day with food ideas AND getting my ferry transfer for Montevideo. He was always friendly and infinitely patient. I REALLY appreciated it. The one downside with this hotel was the breakfast. It was mostly stale tasting pastries and a pretty sub-par buffet. We stayed at 5 capital city Marriott hotels on this trip through SA and the breakfast here was by far the worst of them all. The lounge is OK if you use it, but don't have high exceptions there either. Simply put, you stay here because of the location, Joel & Rocio's help, and the room.
