Marriott’s hotels are not just adequate hotels, they are quality hotels; sadly, this hotel is just adequate. I spend more than 50 nights a year in Marriott hotel, and thus, I know Marriott quality. This hotel is not at the Marriott standard. There are many things that are wrong here. I will name a few. The restaurant could not even make Eggs Benedict. They served me a cold poached egg on cold toast with a piece of bacon on top with no Hollandaise sauce. I sent it back and they return the same egg and toast with mustard on top. The staff is functional, but most do not understand the concept of “customer service,” and only a few were proficient in English. The hotel is on the busiest and nosiest boulevard in Argentina (9 de Julio) and even in our room on the 18th floor the traffic noise was heard all day and night. Marriott bought the old Panamericano hotel in 2020 and opened it in 2021 but there still are ripped rugs, cracks in the bathroom and doorknobs that fall off. In short, this property needs help to make it a Marriott; right now, it has the name but not the quality. There are better hotels to stay at in Buenos Aires; I will not return to this hotel.

Hotel's Favorite
Very upscale Hotel. It’s in a great location for sight seeing about town. The neighborhood has many very good restaurants and nearby shopping. Lots of money changers about a half block away. You’ll get a much better rate than the “official rate”. It’s legit, just do it in a store front- never on the street. There are several men policing the front doors and lobby. Not sure if they were all bellmen, doormen, or security- or a mixture, but they were all very helpful in calling cabs, directing your journey, explaining the money changers, etc. Beautiful lobby. Restaurant just off the lobby serves breakfast, lunch, snack/tea, and dinner. There’s a bar with a nice selection of foods off the lobby too. Look for the small bar n the back- past the cigar shop. It’s more intimate and quiet. There’s a gym & pool on the top floor with access to a very small rooftop area. There’s a bar, but no service that we could find. The rooms and bathrooms are nice and recently remodeled. There is a large tub with shower and a separate shower. The separate shower is pretty worthless and makes a huge wet mess on the floor. Nice towels. The bed is comfortable- nice sheets & blankets. Also a room safe and refrigerator. There’s a coffee machine in the room- but coffee is found in the refrigerator and is charged….which I find a bit off when paying so much for a room. No tea or coffee…or even a bottle of water. Be cautious about laundry. 1 pair socks is $5 USD so is 1 pair underwear. TV has movie channels- in English You’ll need the three prong plug adapters if from the USA. The plugs are limited so you may want to bring a power strip if you have several items to plug in/charge. There is a USB plug in by the bed. If you exchange money from the blue rate- pay your bill in Pesos and save about 50%. Also, if the hotel calls a cab for you- you’ll pay double. It’s still not a lot but Uber will take you just about anywhere for under $5 USD. Most international flights arrive very early morning and depart very late at night. Keep this in mind when booking a room here. It’s very hard to get an early check-in or late check-out, even if a Marriott Rewards member. Book accordingly. I would recommend this hotel.

I stayed for seven nights over two different stays at the Marriott, Buenos Aires and throughly enjoyed my stay. Both of my rooms included amazing views of the “9th de Julio Avenue” (the widest avenue in the world) and the opera house. The bed/linens were of high quality, the room extremely clean and the service was impressive. If you have status with Marriott or reserve a room that includes the “M Club”, you will find that to also be worth a visit. The breakfast was substantial and the evening wine/beer and food offerings were great. The club was expertly managed by Florencia in the mornings and Patricio in the evenings. “Cecilia” , a host representative, even loaned me an adapter for my electronic equipment when I realized the one I had brought did not work. Since Marriott has only owned/managed this property for about a year, they are still working out some of the “kinks” but I can tell you, the location is great, the service is superior and I would not hesitate to stay there again. Street noise can be a little loud during the day but is much quieter after 10PM. It really was not a problem for me….suggest you ask for a higher floor, if you are on the front of the hotel which faces the main avenue.

I had such a great time, Hotel was looking really good and it's also well located. Many restaurants and places that you could visit. Breakfast is also really good but they could have more options. That would make way better.

We stayed over a week a this property. It is centrally located right next to the Obelisk. Although it is not Recoletta / Palermo, where most of the bars and restaurants are located we didn’t have any problems getting around thanks to Cabify. Although it is an old hotel, the rooms have been thoroughly refurbished and are of a decent size. Breakfast could have a few more options and an additional coffee making machine would help, but this was a minor inconvenience. There is a very decent gym and a swimming pool on the top floor. The truly differentiating factor was the quality of the service. It was efficient and to the point. The front desk’s dinning recommendations were top notch and they were super helpful securing recommendations. Kuddos to Luciana!

Well-located and lobby and common areas recently renovated. Upgraded to a suite due to Marriott status. Nice lobby bar. The M Club is superb and open from 7a until 11p or so. This is a great location with plenty of restaurants within walking distance or a short cab ride. All good and highly-recommended.

Ok I decided to stay a weekend at this hotel. Normally stay at another Marriott affiliate. This hotel was refurbished and they did an awesome job. I was upgraded to a suite. It was modern and extremely comfortable. Good AC, TV Channels, Comfortable bed (pillows a little hard though), M Club was open all day and most of the evening/night, centrally located (close to Avenida Florida)...on main street so a little noisy but rooms were solid enough to prevent most of the noise. I was so impressed that I left the other hotel (changed during weekdays) after one day and came back. Was given another suite in the other tower (there are two) and the room was more modern and updated than the previous. I definitely would stay again. One note...this hotel caters to Gate 1 and other tourist / sports groups so it can get crowded and noisy in the lobby. Hotel is priced appropriately. Better than other Marriott brands/affiliates. Kudo's to the management and staff. Great group of people

This was a perfect stay in Buenos Aires. The staff was so professional and knowledgeable. The room was very special and the views were amazing. The hotel is located at a privileged location which makes the stay even more magical. Gracias a Camila, Juan & Martin at the bar, and everyone else that made this stay so special.

The hotel is very close to the obelisk. Great view of the 9 de Julio Ave. Close to public transit and many restaurants. Some rooms need updating and there were work crews when I stayed there. The front desk staff were very helpful. They have a nice breakfast area.No hair dryer in the room, but you can request one from the hotel staff. I would stay here again, if I had the chance.

Great location and service, the room was the only thing lacking in very outdated decor and furnishings (although, the room size was larger than expected). Otherwise, this is a great hotel for access to all restaurants and things to do in Buenos Aires. The spa and pool were under renovation (May '22) and were closed, but for an impressive view of the obelisque and main street at night head up to the fitness center. Also, it would be nice of management to offer their associates the right not to serve people while wearing face masks when they don't force guests to wear one. I don't appreciate the elitist undertone that sets as a guest and I would like to see staff treated as equals not 'lesser than'.
