As you can see from the photos, the San Telmo rooms are two story. We are in our mid-late 60's and had no trouble navigating them. There is no elevator but the very nice staff took our suitcases up and down during our two night stay. San Telmo is a good location for restaurants as well as sites. We happened... More

Incredible stay at the San Telmo. Really enjoyed the place, the location, the staff. Room got a little loud with the San Telmo scene on a Friday night, but so what?! Only real complaint was the brakfast. Kinda skimpy and the coffee not good. i have three complaints about Argentina: Its chocolate, its mustard, and its coffee (being from San... More

Nice hotel in a great location. An interesting part of BA. Rooms are nice enough. Not luxurious (contrary to the name), but comfortable. Breakfast is small, just cereal and toast. Staff was very nice and helpful

Beautifully restored building located on a cobblestone street in the centre of San Telmo, close to restaurants and the San Telmo market, a perfect place to pick up fresh fruit and enjoy excellent coffee. On Sunday the famous San Telmo flea market is right at your doorstep, you can spend a whole day exploring the stalls and soaking up the... More

San Telmo Luxury suites is a wonderful experience tucked away in a fun neighborhood of BA. After passing through the main door you enter a secluded retreat with rooms that are an amazing combination of subdued modern and classical architecture. The staff is very helpful and attentive. A very good place to stay that will put you in the heart... More

Unreal!!! We spent two nights here and I could not have been happier. Great location, amazing staff, unbelievable rooms at an unreal price. I woke up on the first night and scrambled downstairs to be sure I had not misread the price. We loved this hotel and there is an amazing parilla where the locals go for the best adobo... More

My partner and I stayed in a junior suite for 4 nights in June. The suite has the bed located on a mezzanine level with the bathroom and a couch, coffee table and TV located downstairs. The suite overall was very comfortable and clean and met all our needs during our stay. A few recommendations on our particular suite however... More

The hotel is very nice and charming, the rooms are extremely comfortable. It's also very well located. The weird part was when I went to the lounge area and there was an employee taking a nap and snoring!!!!!!!

I overcame my jet lag in an extremely comfortable, quiet room at this hotel. It's a great location near several small restaurants and only steps from the Sunday San Telmo Street Fair. The staff were extremely helpful in orienting me to Buenos Aires, including a front desk clerk who even loaned me his subway card to make a trip!! Breakfast... More

If your looking for a charming spot in one of BAs older barrios this could just be what you need. A delightful 12 room hotel that is better suited to adults than young families and is well located near some of the better known Parillas. Nicely appointed loft rooms, ours even had two bathrooms , comfy beds and a casual... More

Staying in Montserrat

Neighborhood Profile
Montserrat
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighborhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
