We stayed at Ilum from December 30, 2016 to January 2,2017 for 3 nights. This was our second visit to Buenos Aires (last time was 2013) and we were really looking forward to the great restaurants and nightlife we remembered. Our first hotel was in Recoleta and this time I decided to stay in Palermo Hollywood. Due to inflation and...

Only 2min walking distance to many restaurantes and about 10 min to a very nice commercial area (palermo soho). Tem hotel has 2 area, one of them is brand new and the room is really wonderfully. We stayed here for two nights in November 2016 as part of a trip around Argentina. From the minute we arrived until the minute we left, the hotel was fantastic. The staff were all young, enthusiastic, polite and friendly. All of them spoke very good English (thank you!) and they were able to recommend nearby places to eat and drink...

All are of the same owner, and they are each different and lovely. The first 2 are the best and Mine tops all expectations as far as neighborhood (Palermo Soho) and style. The staff is excellent. It was fun to stay in 3 different locations and get a taste of Buenos Aires that way.

We just got in to Buenos Aries after a 10 hour flight from Atlanta. Arrived at the hotel after being ripped off by our taxi driver. Not only did he overcharge us by $50 because of "tolls" but he also switched a $ 50 dollar bill with a one and claimed we were trying to cheat him. Only after giving...

In a neighborhood full of nice cafes, restaurants and bars. The staff prepared a list of recommended places to go to upon check-in which was incredibly helpful. Clean and nicely designed interior. Very comfortable beds that rival 5 star hotels. Hot and cold breakfast provided. The best of all was the service. Very warm and helpful staff who went out...

I pre-booked this hotel a month before arriving in Buenos Aires. Just as well! It's a popular tourist city. Ilum Experience Home is a smallish boutique hotel in the smart suburb of Palermo Hollywood. Central to all the cafes and bars, and 10minutes drive to the centre of town. The reception area is large and comfortable, staffed by multi-lingual personel...

Staying in Palermo

Neighborhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favorite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
