I am very dissapointed with the place itself. Cheap office furniture, very old bedrooms and the condition of my bathroom was disgusting ! Everything old and rotten !!! How can you put a plastic hanger ??? 50 dollars in argentina is a lot of money to put plastic cheap hangers !!!! Not stylish at all !!!! Look pictures ! I will have to pay $100 dolars for two nights !!! There are thousands places nicer than this one. Pictures shown at booking website are not what you get. The a/c is so noisy and old !!!! Wish you could see the video I did. The only thing that worth is the massages of the lady that works during the morning on Monday’s. The one of the afternoon my husband told me that was a smoker and was not nice to have someone smelling as an ashtray. I think if u work in a health place u should take care of this details. Sloppy place to stay... definitely horrible experience. NO TIRES TU DINERO ! …
Overall, it's a very good hotel, situated in the Northwestern part of the city of Buenos Aires, a bit distant from the main points of interest in Buenos Aires, but perfect for me visiting my relatives living in the neighborhood of Núñez. The main sights in this parts of the city are the Río de la Plata promenade and the stadium of the soccer club with the same name. The central parts of the city are easily reachable by underground (Congreso de Tucumán station is just a block away). The hotel is situated in an upper middle-class neighborhood which feels very safe, even by European standards. It's a leafy part of the city with many beautiful houses, and the local Chinatown is just around the corner. The hotel is situated relatively near to the Aeroparque airport. If arriving at the Ezeiza airport, it may not be suitable for you, since it's quite a bit away from it. The hotel room is spacious, and it feels more like a suite than your average hotel room. There's a spa in the hotel but I didn't have time to try it out. Maybe the next time. Overall, an excellent hotel in a quiet neighborhood. And, for the price, it's a steal. I'll be going back, that's for sure.…
In downtown Buenos Aires you find well known hotels (Hilton, Hyatt, Sheraton, etc.) and excellent hotels in Recoleta (Alvear, LoiSuites). There are also other alternatives in different neighborhoods. As my wife and I were going to stay for one week and needed space (we had 8 pieces of luggage) we decided to take the only “suite” that this hotel (a former Howard Johnson) has in seventh floor. We did not want to spend $ 250-300 for a night and we finally paid around $ 120 (the exchange rate was fluctuating during those days and the US dollar prices could be different now). Let me describe the strengths and weaknesses of this hotel. PROS 1. Location In the Belgrano district, two blocks from the terminal subway station (Line D) that allows the passenger to reach with one ticket (35 cents)most of the tourist places. As traffic is chaotic, the subway is the fastest (20-30 minutes from downtown). All kind of eateries, supermarkets and shops at are at short walking distance. 2. Room. As it was a “suite”, the size was equivalent to two rooms: bedroom, bath, sofa are, table, kitchen. Internet was decent and free of charge. Air conditioning worked well. 3. Buffet breakfast. Good variety and good food quality. It was included in the price. 4. Friendly staff. Every employee was willing to help. At the reception desk, Leonardo and Graciela were efficient and nice. CONS The main issue was cleanliness. The floor of our room was dirty. I had two pairs of white, new sleepers from other hotels. They became dirty after walking some days in the room. The ended in the trash can. I mentioned that fact to the Reception and Housekeeping, but the problem was not solved. The floor in transit areas and the elevator were not spotless. Nothing terrible, but something that has to be improved. To sum-up in a few words, if your budget is tight this hotel is an excellent option.…
I stayed there for a business trip (it was close to the place were I needed to go). the hotel room is really comfortable; bed sheets, air conditioner and bathroom where really clean. The view from the room was not good (there was no place to look since there is a lot of building in the surroundings). the downside where this hotel really needs to improve is on the option from the breakfast, all of the 4 days it was the same breakfast (yogurt, croissants, some kind of bread, fruits- 3 kinds of the same fruit and kornflake). The hotel is near to the train station (only 1 block) and close to a loft of restaurants where you can eat really good meat. I recommend this hotel based on other option from the area, is pretty safe to walk at night and is close to everything.
Location, location, location, the Ker Belgrano is a short walk to the Green Tucaman Sube line, so central BA is a short regular ride away at nominal cost. For the health concious, you can use the Monroe St bike lane to safely run to the river P. The hotel is comfortable, secure and clean. Front desk staff are polite and speak English well enough to assist and solve issues (though there is no excuse for my poor Spanish).
