This was my first stop in Buenos Aires. I got a dirty room with dirty bedding and whole night some peole watched a movie in a hall. Staff was helpful, but they didn't accept credit cards and they exchange rate for USD was 20% below a bank one. Cheap, nice staff, but dirty.

We were told that this place would be good for us becuase everything was in english and the staff would help us plan our stay in buenos aires and beyond. Well I am happy to confirm that this was the case and the help was above and beyond our expectations. We ended up staying for about a week and became...

We rocked up at this hostel after an epic bus journey...our initial reaction of the building was not great, it looked run down, dirty and not like the image Garden house springs to mind...we went in and the place smelt, the staff were on hand but didn't make you feel welcome. The rooms smelt, didn't feel clean at all and...

If you choose to stay at this hostel you do not only get a comfortable bed and fresh bread for breakfast, you also get to know a bunch of extraordinary south americans. Several people stay here a whole semester while studying in Buenos Aires, which makes the atmosphere very familylike. The owner is warm and welcoming, as are the rest...

In all of my travels, there have only been a few hostels that stick out in my mind: Garden House is one of them. It has all of the requirements you need to be a great hostel: great location, great staff, safe and clean. However, it also have that extra touch of care that makes it seem more like home...

This is a nice place to relax and to meet friendly locals and travelers in Buenos Aires. The staff was super friendly and always eager to help out. It is a little pricey for a hostel (about $12 for a bed in a 8 person dorm, $25 for a private) but the amenities and cleanliness of the place make up...

We stayed for two nights in August 2013 in an en suite double room. As it was winter it was a bit cold when we arrived but there was a radiator in the bedroom to sort that. Good communal area and decent breakfast for the money. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff (mostly with good English)

Just got back from BA and, for the price, found this to be ideal as a base to return to and relax in after our various trips around Argentina. The rooms are cleaned well (something you definetly can't say about all Argentinian hostels) and the shared and private bathrooms also well maintained if a little tired. However what sets the...

I loved staying at Garden Hostel. The staff is great and was always joking that I would never really leave. The location is not the best neighborhood, but the subways are very convenient and there are some nice neighborhoods and attractions nearby. Best of all, it's cheap!
