One of the greatest parts in my trip in Buenos Aires, without any doubt. Great beds, incredible polite and friendly staff, clean and close to metro station. The down side is the breakfast, with could be upgrade a little more, but is not a deal breaker. Already looking forward for the next visit.

This is a very comfortable and very clean hostel, with very friendly people working there. The Recoleta location is really nice and you can walk to many places of interest quite easily. I stayed in the all-female dorm and had a good stay. Lockers and towels are provided. There is free Wifi as well as computer access, a kitchen, and... More

I started out booking one week at Reina Madre but ended up staying all of my 5 weeks in BA! This hostel is just great! It's safe, clean, has a great location with easy access to bar areas, city center etc and the staff is super sweet and helpful! Don't except a party hostel but the awesome rooftop terrace is... Lots of natural light throughout hostel. Small kitchen, but I think that's normal for Buenos Aires (it was bigger than the one in my previous hostel). Several common spaces. Balcony overlooking the road. Bathrooms and other areas were kept clean throughout the day. Big lockers in the rooms. AC wasn't turned on all of the time and took hours for... More

This hostel is amazing ! The location is very good, close to subway and to many bus connections. The hostel is very secure, only guests and staff members can get in never has anything disappeared. The rooms were quite clean and there was air-conditioning. The common space was big and so it was easy to sit together and have a... More

As you can see in the photos, the hostel is very cute. The staff was kind and accomodating and had recommendations for every questions I asked about food and travel. The bathrooms were clean. They showers had caddies to hold your things and towels were included in the price of the room. The vibe was very laid back and somewhat... More

Closed from the metro (Aguero and Pueyrredon). At the center between Palermo where the nightlife is, and the center where the majority of touristics places are. The owner is straight on his shoes, very friendly. The hostel is clean, bathroom as well. A pretty roof top with a bbq, very nice for begin parties and meet other guests. Only bad... More

My sister and I spent two or three nights here and absolutely loved our experience from the start! Alberto was very helpful and patient, a really good guy. The hostel was clean, well organized, and comfortable. The breakfast included warm medialunas, coffee, cereal and milk- it was fantastic! We have been to a few other hostels in BA, and they... More

Spent 6 days here, in October 2015. Met a few travellers in Puerto Iguazu who had stayed here as well, and recommended the place. The location (in Recoleta) is really convenient - within walking distance of - Iglesia Nuestra Senõra de Pilar, Centro Cultural Recoleta (Fuerza Bruta), Recoleta Cemetery, Design Buenos Aires, the Museo des Bellas Artes, Ciudad Cultural Konex... I normally don't choose to do TripAdvisor reviews when everybody else has already raved about the place. But Reina Madre is such a great place that I'm compelled to re-state what everybody else has already said. The place is spotlessly clean; the owner (who's on-site pretty much all the time) is INCREDIBLY friendly and helpful; it is bright, with lots... More

Staying in Recoleta

Neighborhood Profile
Recoleta
Characterized by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighborhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centered on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
