This temporary apartment, as what they call themselves, is actually pretty affordable, and very accessible when you go visit Buenos Aires. It is really close to the shops, and mostly restaurants in the Recoleta area. Very safe to stay and walk around. Only thing is difficult to find parking, unless you pay for the parking which is in the basement,...

Here is why I feel this way. I prebooked this apartment, and it was charged to my credit card. The terms of the agreement said that the keys would be with the building security between 6 PM and 10 PM. I arrived a little after 7 PM. The keys were no where to be found when I arrived. I tried...

First of all, the name of this apartment is misspelled in the listing. I've requested a correction from TripAdvisor and hopefully that will happen. It is Studio Pueyrredon at 1770 Av. Pueyrredon in the Recoleta neighborhood of Buenos Aires. We spend 35 nights (in May and June) at Studio Pueyrredon and I cannot imagine a better place to stay (especially...

I paid for a double superior room but, after having received confirmation that the room was available and having paid the stay, I was put in a double standard room for the first night. Then, after fighting a LOT, they changed me to a very dirty double superior. Towels were old rugs, and you cannot use the kitchen because there...

We liked our apartment, and wished we had booked it for longer. I didn't discover apartments until most of my trip was booked. The price was good for three people, which is hard to find in BA. The Studio was spacious, clean and comfortable. It even had a small balcony where we sat and relaxed. It was nice to have...

This studio apartment was just right for our week long stay in BA. I'll start with the negatives. I was able to connect to the wifi networks with the passwords given, but could not access the internet. This was not a problem as my laptop could connect via the DSL cable - but thought I would warn others. I did...

Staying in Recoleta

Neighborhood Profile
Recoleta
Characterized by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighborhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centered on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
